75aH leisure battery only gives two charges
I can charge two FP 10s1p batteries form my new 75 Ah leisure battery, before the voltage drops to less than 10V. The Schulz Chameleon draws about 10-12Amps at full bore.

I know that the leisure battery is not empty, because it will fully charge more flight batteries, but at much reduced currents.

It seems that you can only get 75Ah if the current is kept to less than about 2Amps, to prevent the large voltage drop.

Is the solution just a bigger battery, or is there a better brand?

A seven cell lead-acid battery would probably be useful, if one existed.

Are you talking about field charging? If so, buy yourself a cheap generator. For around £200 for could get a decent generator, and you'd have no more problems, other than giving us noise pollution.

For home charging, just get a good 13v PSU.

Cheers,

Yes, this is for field charging. I have a decent PSU for home home use.

Looking forward to Charmouth and want enough 'juice' for more than a couple of flights.
