Hey Tele,is that a 5s pack? What motor are you using, and what are your flight times?I was wondering about these cells, but I know to little about them.I wonder how they would work on a EP-8v2sp in a 4s pack?

was thinking about a 4 s pack too but current would be 22amp hovering and38 WOT a bit much for them I think.
these are liion estimated to be 10c and 3000mah

the motor i am using is hacker a30 8xl good motor for this setup
5s is nice on her

sorry got them from a friend that got some batts from the US they worked out to be about $26 sgd each.

as for the current consumption on a 10xl motor i would not know sorry I have the 8xl and it works fine..have not put the e logger on it yet just did the first test flight today ...( been busy at work and have not been home till dark ..( communal sigh! )
they worked fine, very nice ..noticed a bit higher head speed then the 5s1p tp2100 and still higher then the 5s2p tp2100 batts to i am assuming it holds the voltage a bit better. The heli is a bit heavier but still flies very smoothly and has enough punch to climb out well.
It doesnt have the full punch of the Tp2100 5s2p as it bogs down quite a bit with full collective but i think it would be ok for loops and rolls and nice smooth flying. ( for me it works since my thrash machine is a 4s t rtex! )

I am estimating the current consumption to be about 18-22 amp flying and up to 37A on a full collective ( since these babys are really only 10c or so that works out about right)
battery temp = 49'c
maotor = 63'c (usual)

yep have had 5s1p tp2100 good but lacked then top end wattage sicne they wer the old batts ..were getting up to 63'c after a flight.
then used 5s2p very nice flying plenty of power but yet again old batts are old batts.

I got kinda bored with the 5s Emolis not up to the job, thought it was too heavy, bogging down the heli.... might as well dump in more cells and see how heavy it can take before it won't lift off.

As much as it's heavy, I strapped up a 7s Emolis pack onto the standard EP-8v2EX expecting just marginal power with the excessive weight.
To my surprise, it performs even better than when i'm on 5s Emolis
I'm thinking it could be the motor of a lower KV, therefore limiting the headspeed
Now on the 7s, i'm able to even fly 3D on it despite feeling heavier than lipo packs for sure.

Setup:
Heli: EP-8v2EX
ESC: CC HV45
Motor: Hacker A30-10XL
Pinion: 17T
Blades: Stock 400mm
Battery: 7s Emolis! (700 plus grams)

I will put on the data logger for another flight later in the day if i can make it.
But given the choice to start again, i think the Hacker A30-8XL will be a better choice with the higher KV.
