Only 7mins flight time with FP EVO 20C 1800mAh and 11T JGF 450TH
I'm only getting 7 mins of flight time (no 3D just FFF, hovering and a few stall turns) with the FP EVO 20C 1800mAh pack. Motor is JGF 450TH on 11T. Throttle curve is 100, 97.5, 95, 97.5, 100. Pitch +10/-10. Resting voltage ~11.3V.

I still feel there isn't enough HS (sorry don't have a tacho or anyone interested in helping me measure it), but worried that 13T will reduce my flight times even more drastically. The pack is new only 6 cycles, and motor is also <20 flights.

What's the point of having all that high C for such low flighttimes?

I have just about the same setup as you but run a 13t pinion and a 2100 batt.

HS is like 2600 2800 or so.

I use a timer and call it quits at 8 min and then maybe hover around for another 30secs or so.

Have you check the tightness of your tail belt...that thing is a power robber if its too tight.

Your manin gear mesh is also a killer for unwanted friction..

How about a new Thunder Power Extreme 3SX 2200? 25C. might be worth a try. I am going to order a couple after payday.

Have you ever been flying it to LVC...if so...
How much do you put back in it and how do you know it's time to stop flying?

Thanks for the replies.

I'm going to check and maybe loosen up main gear tonight if the weather holds. It did feel a little tight, but these damn egg shape things are so hard to get a compromise. Maybe why the headspeed seems low. Don't think it's the belt as I get the usual 5/6 revolutions or by spinning by hand (I find anything less than 3 then there's trouble).

Tintin: Thx, but I have a LiPO alarm set at 3.2/cell and 0.3V warning (~9.9V) and have a timer on my 7C. Made the mistake in the past of hitting LVC so never again. Also, ~11.34V has been my target resting voltage for the last 500 flights or so, so I know I'm safe.

I'm lucky if I get 7 mins off one pack at all these days

430L (4050KV version) with 11T, Align 35G ESC, Poly Pro 20C 2100 3S LiPo with HRPoly X LiPo LVW device.
As far as they know, I already had it!

Gyronut: You were right about the main gear mesh. Loosen it to as much as I dare and WOW the HS goes up, punch outs do not bog reaching 15-20 feet in a sec, and I can feel the power again even with a 11T. I let it fly for 8m and the battery was down to 11.14V at rest (my LiPo alarm at 9.9V did not go off). So basically this did not help my flighttimes.

Could it be that because I'm running my throttle at close to 100% all the time? I know the ESC likes this.

I don't use governor and run 82 and 90% Throttle in idle 1 and idle2.
I get 9 to 10 minutes doing easy flying... TP 2100 430L new one with 11T pinion... Max. of 10+ to 10- pitch . 325 wood pro.I put back into my batteries about 1600mAh...Head speed on my tack at hover in idle up is 26 to 2700 rpm's.
