Oh I was just referring to another thread where he said he really wanted a Trex, but only had a $600 budget.

Given that this kit is more expensive then a non-se trex, I thought it might make more sense for him to get the trex instead, since it's what he really wanted.

But if he is getting something to learn with, I would get the Blade Pro and a simulator first.

heh.

Bling it looks, but bling it is not..

Bling is shiny looking and expensive.. serves no purpose but to look expensive.

This heli is also very much more stable and functional and strong.

So many we should call it the new StrengthBling CP

Day 2 Update:

Picked up a Futaba 7CHP radio, never used Fut before usually use JR but we'll see...Got my motor/esc connectors soldered on, locktighted all bolts/ tightened down tail boom and what not.

Tomorrow, will get motor mount screws, got wrong size, then put in electronics and maybe give her a test fire, depends on how long takes me to setup this Futaba Radio.

JJGONZO - looks great. I am building one too. Can you tell me how you mounted your canopy support bar to the top of your servos? I see something yellow in the picture, but am not sure how you have done it. I see why you call it your baby REX.

Hi guys!

I have a little observation. the Bling cp or Hdx300 whatever you want to call it flys a lot better with longer baldes. I tried the carbon fiber ones, the woodies and then the plastic ones. all of them give this bird good flying chraracteristics -in my humbble opinion a too snappy- it is like a trex on the 315's. Now I put Hornet baldes and wow! what a diffrence does it make. A lot more stable. Like a trx with 325's. I love this little guy -it is one in its kind. Small enough to fly in the house and large, respnsive and stable enough to go to the park.

Steve, perhaps you could somehow develop some blades that are a tad longer (can't find the fraking measuring tape)like the ones for the Hornet X3d for the new CP. Maybe if enough guys request them? Anyhow this just my two cents.
Ah, cowboy, for the canopy mount, i just attached (improvised) a piece of carbon rod with piece of fishing line on top ofthe servo mounts and walla!

JJ, I am going to take your advice and pick up some of these hornet blades, so they better be up to par!

Also JJ can you get me a better picture of your canopy mount. Thanks man!, Nice heli!

Also I got 2 Pieces of Carbon, that i'm not sure what are for, they are about 1 inch by 1 inch????

From what I understand, Steve at Helidirect has some new carbon blades coming. They are modeled after the SAB 255MM by 28MM blades. Should be a nice upgrade.

If its too snappy..

You could remove the long rods from the bell hiller I think to make it less responsive ?

so its more like a non pro stock head ?

Are the hornet blades longer or shorter than stock? What's the price.

Trex4life... z400 from RCG? Have you got the heli in the air yet? Any build hitches? Looks good!

Solaris, the bling is not only for good looks. It certainly crashes better and has less slop. I'm using the stock BCP head and it is very sloppy compared to the CNCed BCP heads I've seen, and I've made all the fixes to keep it in good shape. This makes my heli's cyclic vary by a few degrees by itself.
