Ok the balls on the mixer are all 12mm long and i have a total pitch range of 16 degrees but that is with a reduced cyclic for the negative . Will strip the head and measure accuratly the shaft ;

Rbort , think it will take a while for my wife to stop laughing......... now i can get a longer shaft for 17 bucks shes not stopped! Do you lube the dampers and what with ?

Told ya!
I thought your shaft was too short from the pictures. The newer ones (0614) are 10mm longer. That will give you an additional minimum of 4 degrees of pitch making the range 20, but if you switch the balls as well you can go up to 22 degrees if I remember right.

thanks rbort, but whats the answer to the position of the pivot .... like ericchevvy I wonder what difference putting nearer the shaft on the blades grip makes?

Don't know
I never moved my pivot from the stock hole so I can't tell you for sure. On the pivot though if you have one ball shorter than the other flip it around and put the short ball to the 0335 link going down to the swash. You can use a pitch guage to verify the effect. Also if you want to try to move the pivot to the other hole in the blade grip you can try that. I think I didn't do mine as I liked it better in the original hole and no chance of binding.

In any case, +/- 10 degrees is all you need. On the cyclic set it up to +/- 6 degrees.

pitch range
revman;
if you look in my gallerie you will see two differant rotor heads. notice the bell mixer on both are the same, however the one with the three holes on the side that connect to the blade holder the other one the three holes are on the side that goes to the swash. If you put the three holes on the side that connects to the blade holder and connect in the outer hole you will increase total pitch range. You may need to change the hole you connect to on the blade holder so all the links clear without interference.
