what needs to be lubricated
I'm trying to figure out some problems and my CP is jumping. The servos look ok and not sure if I need to replace the head or not. I figured maybe lubbing the main gear and around the swashplate. Anything else I need to consider lubbing?

Try this to double-check your servos:

Take the head off and disconnect the motors, and power up. While moving the swash around very slowly, press gently with your finger against each push rod. Do this in both directions. You may have one or more servos that act normally when there's no force on the rod, but go nuts when there is some resistance.

I lube just about everything that moves (very lightly), and I haven't had any problems with it yet. If you're using an aluminum swashplate, check to make sure there aren't any burrs on the ball links. Some of them are pretty rough.

The spindle could also use some lube. I use a silicon based lube, that I use on my foosball table rods. Give it a little on the spindle and make sure to give some to the O-Rings.

Check your O-Rings also. Sometimes they get dry and wear out. This has helped my heli with the up-downs.

ok, I will oil up the spindle and "o" rings. I live in the desert so the rings drying up makes sense.

Sticky - So if one of the servos goes nuts, that's the one I should replace?

Another question. Recently I had to replace the frame and I noticed my 4-1 isn't quite straight on on the frame, will that create a problem? I just tweaked it a minute ago, but the sticky want's to bring it back.

update - I just checked the servos, but I didn't take off the head. My I ask why the head needs to come off? I un-plugged the motors and tried the test. I don't see any problems.
