Hawk Pro flying, loops, rolls, 3D
I just got a kit and don't know if I will build it or sell it. I just wanted a bang around heli but if it dosen't fly good I will pass. I have never seen one other than some one learning to hover.
The kit looks beter than I thought it would and it looks bigger than I thought it was. Hope that they fly good but I would like to hear from some one that knows.
Thanks for the help. >>> 870HELI

I almost gave up on helicopter flying, but now that I've been flying quite a bit this summer I am loving it. I can't say I've flown higher end more expensive helis than the hawk pro, but for the money I don't think the hawk pro can be beaten.

I got mine about a month ago, and put a gallon of fuel through it. Once its trimmed out, mine (and yours) will hover with very very little stick input. So far it's been really smooth for me to fly and i think its capable of doing mild 3d. It'll have to issues at all doing loops rolls, inverted, stall turns, ect ect. It won't be able to do what .90 size monsters do, but it'll get you to where you want to go. The price of parts you can't beat compared to a raptor or any heli for that matter. Stick with it, put it together and have some fun with it. Don't be affraid about crashing, cause its bound to happen, but like I said, parts are cheap and you'll be up and running in no time. Check out these vid's of a member with a hawk sport to show you a little of what they can do.

A Hawk Pro with a Toki 40 or OS37 will do some pretty radical 3D all day long.

The Hawk Pro (Sport for me) is certainly not an XCell, but it flies decent if you have a good powerful engine.

870heli, You do not want that kit, you want to bring it to me.

I will take good care of it and make sure you never miss all the fun you would have had with it.

PS, balance the heli on floats BEFORE you try and land on the water.
Just remember -- if the world didn't suck, we would fall off.

I get it !! You all are telling me that Hawks fly fine. Well thats what I wanted to know. I will build it and let you know what I think.
The only engine I have now is a OS-32 but maybe I can come up with something stronger.
Thanks guys, I will be in the shop tonight... 870HELI

My first heli was a hawk with os .32. It flew just fine and had enough power. Just fly the crap out of it until the motor goes bad then replace it(or the heli) to something bigger.

I agree with westcoaster. If you are just starting out, by the time the OS-32 has taught you all the basics it will probably be fairly worn out and due for replacing at thet time you can move up to a powerhous like the Toki 40.

870hili, the thing about Century's 30's and 50's (and Predator for the matter) is that they (all) are sure-fliers, meaning they fly clean and stable and track straight, their rotor heads have no bad habits, everyone that I have let fly my Century 30's/50's were surprised to find-out just how nice they fly,,
out of the box their cyclic is not overly sensitive, so if you find you need a quicker cyclic there are plenty upgrades available, yet with that I also have to say the H-Pro I saw that did those tic-toc's and piro-flip had flybar weights on...

Well it's built and flys fine. Way better than I thought it would.
I never put a new engine in anything without test running but I did with this OS-32. It started and ran as good as it could. I didn't get to fly it too much (only one tank) but everything was perfect. Never had to track a blade. Ran it rich two turns out on CY 30%.
Just thought I would let you know.
