hi

i went to the max model 2006 show in swindon (uk)
protech was lanching it there, i ask steve on the stand if any trader
had them, he told me tjd modeld had, so i got it from them

they only had five,

i am very happy with it, got it yesterday , went flying with it this morning, there was no problem like with the other zoom, had four flights with it and took it home compleate

will check it out over the week for next weekend

i'm getting 7mins but i am running it rich as its new, i'll give it another 4 or 5 flights then lean it out a bit

the traders web site is http://www.tjdmodels.com
its not on there site as they only got them a few days ago.

it will probably be my main heli, we will see

Depending on how it flies, it would be nice to fly in backyard. Do you have some pictures of it ?

That looks interesting. Wonder if they will be releasing it in the U.S. What's the price in US dollars?

it has boom mounted tail servo with carbon rod, metal gyro mount at the back, metal head block, the frames are g10 composite and not carbon and its also ccpm setup,

For that money, I'd go with a Knight 50 plastic.Vibe 90, Vibe 50, Vigor CS x2,
Dyna-x, Knight 503D, Logo 10,
TRex 500, Furion, Gaui EP200

THATS UPTO YOU
WELL THATS UPTO YOU, but i would not touch one ever.

BUT YOU THEN GOT TO PAY AN EXTRA £100 PLUS FOR A MOTOR

anyway i'll let others have there say on this, as you get what you payed for,

the zoom 450 is much much better that the zoom 400.

yes the zoom 450 flys like a t-rex but its a bit bigger and is well made, and it flys out of the box without any mods.

put it this way i got home with the zoom 450 on a saterday around 4.30pm the next day at 10am i was flying it down the club field,

that morning i put 4 flights on it and there was not one problem.

ok i dont do 3d yet but i did my normal curcits , nose in, laszy 8's, clime outs and things like that, it is very stable and fast when you want to be.

anyway you pay or money and take your choise, i'm sure there be lots of these around once model shops start stocking them.

Its good to hear it flys better than the Zoom 400 - I have one and I've spent many hours trying to get this thing to fly without something failing - normally at the tail end

Its true you'd need to buy an engine for a Knight 50, but then electric helis need LiPo packs...but we're comparing apples and pears

The real comparison is with the TRex...which will be my next purchase. I've seen them fly, they're predictable and stable in flight, I know what I'm getting. The Zoom 450 may be as good, may be better, but for me its not yet a proven model. Would be interested in how you get on with it over time and how it does 3d.

its not a electric heli
hi m8

look at the pictures the zoom 450 comes in two versions

one is electric at £140 without motor and speed controller

and there is the one i have that is nitro, comes with motor and bits for £199

has a sx15 nitro car engine and runs on 20% nitro.

i agree its not a proven model yet and time will tell on how good it is, lets see what the 3d guys think of it once one of them gets one

I think the black hawk is the same heli with anohter canopy.
But this kit at radientech comes without a engine. The same kit at http://www.modelflight.com.au comes with engine for 280 USD
