losing control when i flip or loop?
whenever i try to flip or loop my trex, i can hear that i'm losing headspeed and the tail kicks out badly.
bear with me and my explanation...for example if i was flying away from myself (tail in) and done either a flip or loop, i would come out up to 3 metres to the left in a very uncontrolled manner (scary).

i am running HDE, Jr 371 servos, Quark 33A, JGF450F(3500kv), Align Rx, 401, HS 81 on tail, align 1900 13/16C lipo's.

pitch crv is -9,-5,0,+5,+9
thr crv is 100,95,90,95,100
no idea on headspeed but i am running 10T on motor
and cyclic is about 6 degrees and only light binding at -9 and +9 (but thats HDE)

gyro is in HH mode
align carbon tailblades(not the carbonfibre)
align 335 woodies

...and all because of this today i had a MASSIVE stack that literally wrote off my heli...so i ordered the carbonfibre ccpm frame and thought i'd join the 'dark' side.

so any help why this happens would be appreciated.

fwiw..Could be many things, but the 10 T pinion stands out..try 13 tooth for more h/s, you'll need about 27 2800 to really make it come alive..Collective management is everything in a Rex, as there is no excess horsepower to mask poor collective skills...

Good luck...

John.

Low headspeed IS the issue with the setup. Your headspeed MUST be above 2500 RPM to prevent the problems that you experienced!

Yes, the loss of headspeed really kills the tail authority so the tail step out is also explained by that.

I did my very first loop today. I liked it so much I did 11 more in a row for a total of 12 in one flight.

THANKS FOR RUBBING IT IN SAM V...Nah just kidding, that awesome.

i can loop and roll all day long on my RG wannabe Shuttle but the trex requires better and smoother inputs along with the correct pinion on motor.

i should be up and running by next week

now...where cani get one of those creditcards where u can use the money but it automatically replaces itself...need one badly!
