My Hybrid hahaha
anyone have anything like this?
it started off as a Vigor Standard, sold to me with the CS 140CCPM upgrade, but still has the Standard belt drive. i just finished adding the Vibe Gyro tray and shortened the nose, it actually cleaned up the look very nice. i also have the Scott Gray metal head....so its pretty much the Vibe head but in two pieces. so now i have part Vigor Std, Vigor CS, and parts from a Vibe all in one, hahahahaha
come winter, when this flying season ends, i would like to get it converted to shaft drive with the Vibe tail box.

somewhat before and after pics below....

iw ould like to....but i'm finding it difficult to get my hands on soem of the belt drive setup components. example. a few weeks ago i had a really bad vibration that shattered my tail pitch levers. i had to talk to everyone that lives around here that has had a viggy with belt drive at some point to see if they had the parts i needed. i use the purple K&S tail pitch levers, which correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't made anymore? took a week, when the guys at the local hobby shop found someone with the parts i needed.

therefore, if i switch to the Vibe tail setup, it may cost more to crash, but parts are obviously still being made for it.

You are indeed correct. The parts for the Vigor Standard are going to be hard to get accross the board. As the model has been out of production for quite sometime now. The only thing that sucks is that the conversion kit for the shaft driven tail is no longer avialable either. So it will be costly to do that one as well. If you can, try to find a crashed Vigor CS to rob the parts off of. That will make the sting a little less. As it was the conversion kit was about $350. So you can only imagine what it will cost to do it one piece at a time. Nice looking machine though. Enjoy it.Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

well...i found a couple places that sell the conversion...or atleast still advertise it. i already checked one, they said they dont carry it anymore, i'm going to fire off an email to the other one to see if they may still have it.

EDIT: i found it on this site, just sent an email to see if they even carry it. Heliproz advertise it, but dont have it.

Good luck, and I hope you find one. If you do buy it right then. As it will be hard to find again if you pass on it. It will be the cheapest way for you to get to the shaft driven tial.Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

Mine started as a standard vigor with the mechanical mix after some head scratching i decided to turn it to 120 ccpm and a dtds tail drive using the k&s Tail box

I have the option of swapping the belt drive to shaft drive in less than 15 minutes

I don't have a CS tail drive. The shaft drive is from different bits and i never flew it with the stock control.
