Newbie Questions
I recently purchase a Sceadu Evo 50 as my first gas heli and have just got it assembled. It has a OS-50SX engine. I have a couple of questions regarding the Byron fuel and OS glow plug.

1. What does the number on the glow plug mean? Is higher the number the plug has, the better it would be?

2. What impact does the % of nitro have on the engine? Does higher the % mean better power?

3. Is the glow plug number related to the % of nito content?

4. I have just got OS number 8 glow plug and Byron 15% nitro as recommended by a local hobby shop. Is that good for my heli?

Many Thx,

Rudy

The OS heli engines run best on any of these plugs:

OS #8 (standard plug)
OS #A3 (plated version of #8)
Enya #3 (slightly hotter plug, best for helis)

Personally, I've had the best luck with the #A3. Good running plug and seems to last a very long time. Also lower cost than the other plugs. The Enya #3 is widely used and is considered the best plug for heli engines.

I've used these with both 15% and 30% fuel. Higher nitro fuel delivers more power, but at the expense of higher fuel consumption and higher cost.
