NOT MAKING SENSE???
sitting here try to figure out why the tail slider has so much in/out play....... I was thinking thier was a bushing that went in between the outside bearing and tail pully but the manual doesnt show anything to that effect???? on the oppisite side and the end of the tailshaft it looks like thiers some internal threads where a set screw goes but again the manual doesnt show anything thier, what am I missing?????/

this is re a rap 30 V1

there is a set screw that goes in through the left side of the shaft that is suppose to hold in the pin for the gear, that shouldn't cause play though, unless the pins not there.GDay

In the new kits the tail rotor drive pulley (24) is already installed, but the thin side of the pulley is not.
It is important that the smaller half of the Tail Pulley Set (P/N BK0051 or reference #25 on step 13) is installed INTO the pulley. The LONGER flange goes outward to take up slack in the tailgearbox.
There are two sets of holes in the tail rotor shaft (23). The open hole is for the pin (14), the filled hole is for the setscrews (5) on the hub (18).
The Pin (14) can be a very tight fit in the tail rotor shaft. Try tapering and sanding the pin for a tight but not loose fit. Use large pliers to press the pin into place. Then install a M3 setscrew into the tailshaft to hold the pin in. Loctite that setscrew which is not shown in the TT manual but included in one of the bags-o-parts.
Loctite bearing (7) to the tailrotor shaft.

The newer tailshafts have the hole threaded so you can install a setscrew to hold the pin on the red pulley in place. A std 3mm setscrew with blue loctite works fine.

thanx but fianally nailed it down, the tail pulley comes in 2 parts, the small 1/2 that fit in the gear 1/2 somehow must have got put in backwards, must say that was tough one to figure out, but am still wondering if the 2 need to be glued together? somehow I dont rememeber, but dont think soCAUTION!!! politicians may be hazerdous to your well being

no glue needed. The tail housing will keep the parts together.
