9303 with GY611 set-up?
I have just bought the GY611 and will be using it with a 9303 tranmitter/R649 receiver. Has anybody else used this set-up and if you did how did you set it up into the radio. I think it will be strightforward but any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated as this is the first time I have used Futaba equipment. Thinking of switching though, I really like the 14Z but I have to save my pennies first. Thanks and take it easy.

I have a 601.. It's likely to be exactly the same.

For setting up the 601, I followed Jason Krause's instructions from his website... http://www.jkheli.com/601.htm

In the 9303 if you want to use the [GYRO SENS] menu as intended, you have two choices for setting up your gyro gain channel. The Rudder D/R switch (RUDD D/R), or the flight mode switch (AUTO). You select this right in the [GYRO SENS] menu.

Depending on which style you pick, you will have various ways you can set you gain... All right there in the menu.

Above 50% is AVCS (heading hold mode) below 50% is normal (rate mode).

Your settings may be different, but just as a reference, I set all my gyro gain settings in every mode to 75%.

Plug your gyro gain wire into Aux2
[GYRO SENS] NORM: Pos.0
AUTO Pos.0 75% ST-1: Pos.0
Pos.1 75% ST-2: Pos.0
Pos.2 75%

HOLD: Pos.0

Thanks
Mark,
Thanks for the info, sounds as easy as my 500T when I had that. Do you use F3C or 3D mode? Sounds like the 3D mode is easier on the helicopter. Additionally what setup are you using the the gyro itself, I know there is a difference in helicopters but just trying to get a feel for whay you guys set. I plan on putting the gyro in my Synergy when it shows up, can't wait. Take it easy.

I use 3D mode. They say the piro rate is more consistent and backwards flight is more reliable in 3D mode. ...But I never tried F3C mode.
It's in my Fury Extreme.
