I tried a metal gear servo once on my heli, It twitched soo bad that I don't think I'll ever try that again. I was using it on my tail, but if people are using hs65mg servo's on cyclic with any sucess, I'd probaly give'em a try! But I wouldnt be the Guini Pig!!and one more thing "DON'T BE AFRAID!"

the heliup frame was designed for the 56 servo. the 65
has the mounting tabs in a different location on the servo case.

not saying it can't work but I've never heard of anyone doing it.

A finger nail file (emery board) works better than a dremel when enlarging the holes for the servos. Takes a little longer, but the holes are much more precise when you finish!

Just have your other half go buy them for you to avoid the embarassment

hi hi this could be a good idea but i already resolved with a dremel.

90 minutes and mission has been executed : hs65mg on heliup frame and perfectly working.

simply enlarge holes for the 4 fixing screws and then reverse uniball from the retro of the servo horn (position required for hs56) to the front of the servo horn.

I am using the JR 241 Metal geared servos. They are extremely tight and have the same dimensions as the HS56 servos. The JR241s DO fit the HDE tray!
