JGF400DH; CC25 question
Just installed a JGF 400DH in my MX-400.
Using 8 tooth pinion- it is a 4000 to 4400KV motor.
Everything runs smooth throughout the throttle range but no headspeed and lift off....
Didn't change my pitch settings (+9/-9)as I removed the helimax motor.
The CC-25 is programmed as recommended and arms without trouble?
Wonder if anyone has any ideas to help me.
Thanks

Reprogrammed my CC-25 again.
Used a new batterie.
Checked my pitch settings. They are still the same +9 and -9.
Motor is smooth throughout the throttle range.
ESC goes to full power - red light comes on.
Still no RPM -Heli just gets light on the skids.
Checked old posts - the 8 tooth pinion should work on a JGF400DH.

A repeat with my helimax speed control ended with the same results.
Motor is smooth but no RPM - heli also just gets light on the skids.

Wonder if I got a motor with a lower KV rating by accident?
They all look the same.

I would appreciate any input.
Sometimes you just run around in circles and miss the obvious.

400 DH
The 400 DH was available in 3 different kv ratings, but any of them should be adequate to get your heli off the ground.

I ended up with a CC 35 in mine with the 400 DH and it flys well.

Are you using a 3 cell 10-15C pack?

If you are anywhere near Pittsburgh PA, there is a funfly this afternoon at the MARS field on Warner Lane.

Has the heli flown with another setup?

Thanks for the reply.
Yes it has flown for 41 hours already on a Helimax 6 pole motor.
I am using a 3 S TP-2100 about 200 charges and it did fine so far.
Also just checked with a brand new one- same results.
My package says 400 DH 4400 kv.
Just changed to a 10 tooth pinion and I can get the heli up to 2 inches now. Motor bell is hot after 1 min at 2 inches.

Ken,
thanks for your input.
Problem solved.
I did end up with the wrong endbell on my motor which turns the thing in something else I guess.
Vinnie at JGF figured that out on a Saturday morning.
What a great customer service these guys have.
I'll definitly go back for more motors.
They will ship me the new bell and I will flyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
