3D Maneuvers......
I'm at a stand still because there are no extreme pilots at my field to learn moves from. Where can I go to learn more moves. I don't know if I have ever seen a Chaos or hurricane. I saw some amazing stuff at MAH but I have no idea what those moves were.

Buy a 3D how-to video. Alan Szabo has one with a trasmitter view on a split screen.- very nice.

Or watch some movies on Agusto's site and try to figure the different moves out yourself.

Hey 50feet,

Are you coming to Helis over Delaware this year? It's next weekend at Lums Pond.

I'm sure you can hook up with the Baltimoreboyz and get all the 3D demos and pointers you can handle.

If you are looking for descriptions of the various moves, try this link to Britflyer's site: http://www.rchelicopter.co.uk/moves.htm.

I'm learning the entry-level stuff on my own. The real key is tons of simulator time and a basic idea of the moves. It all starts with being able to fly in any orientation (upright, inverted, backwards, backwards-inverted, sideways, sideways-inverted) and hover in every orientation. Once you can do that the aerobatics are much easier to learn.

50 feet.
Go to the Heli's over Deleware, all the guys from MHA will be there like Bobby Watts (wattybots) Beresford (beast) Charles and quite a few others. You will like that video also, it's pretty good. Another thing to use, if you have G3 there are tons of moves in the virtual flight instructor where the old G2 didn't have much at all. You can also go to littlerotors.com and look at the flying lessons.

G3 is the way to go man, I used to fly up in that neck of the woods. If you are looking to get some moves and some tips at the funfly to build on G3 is the way to go. Just so happens that the majority of the guys at MHA have at least once taken the class with JK and TB. Including me, his instuctions on the G3 are just like what he would tell you if you were standing next to you. When you go to the FF get up with some of the club members from MHA and they will help you out. Feel free to PM me and I can try to hook you up if you don't know any of them already.

Hi 50 feet. I'm self taught and there are no other 3D pilots at my 2 clubs. I've spent countless hours on the sim and trying to put things together in the air, and have generally found that if you really think things through then you can help yourself aided with tons of practice. From time to time, I watch 3D videos where many pointers can be picked up provided you really concentrate on how the helis are behaving and also remembering a few golden rules like go easy on the collective, don't bog the engine etc etc, it all starts to make sence. I certainly wish there was at least one other 3D pilot around as it would be great to feed off each other, but there ain't.Vegetable rights and Peace
