Longer flybar for R30
I am using the stock R30 flybar, think its 394mm or something close to that. I was wondering what other flybars people have used that are longer to help speed up cyclic. This is my 3D machine so I don't care too much if it tracks well or pitches in FF, I just want it to roll, tumble, flip, etc as fast as possible. I have the red dampners and green paddles on it already.

A longer flybar is not going to make that much difference. If you already have the lightweight paddles the only thing that help is more headspeed or a Kasama Head.

What headspeed and pitch curve are you running?

Ah ok, I was thinking I might need to go to carbon mains and a metal head soon. I don't know the actual RPM I am running because I haven't picked up a tach yet. I am running a +9 to -9 standard curve with a OS 32 engineBlake

The rotor diameter has increased over 10% from the Raptor 30 to the Raptor Titan, from 1245mm to 1385mm. I would think a longer flybar on a Titan disc would work very well.

In order to get more headspeed you could try +/-8 pitch. The R30 does not have a lot of power so you need to keep the pitch down.

If you are really into 3D you may want to just sell it and get a Titan 50.

I'll look at that Titan flybar and try setting up my spare pitch curve for +8 to -8. I am going to try to have someone that knows what they are doing with 3D flying take it for a test flight . I am still pretty unsmooth and am just getting started.Blake

with greenies it willl roll nice then.
forward and back ward flips are fine on the 30 and 50`s its mostly the roll rate that is too slow with standard paddels

re the os 32 it aint no power house
its getting old now and is at the low end of there power fo 30 size engings

trust me i started with one and its amaxing how much more power the 37 has conpared with the 32
so you wont be doing a huge amount of 3d with it.

i got so feed up with lack of power with the 32 that i junked it and converted it to a 50 and droped in a 50 hyper

if your serous about wanting to learn 3d get a bit smoother and convert it to a 50
dont bother with a metal head yet with a os32 its not worth it
wait to you stack it and convert it.
re carbons yes bye all means get some

if you go for a hyper you wont regret it.
