How does the time stamp on posts work across the globe?
I know this is way off topic, but: If I respond to a post, say @ 8:00am ( I am at pacific standard time)and someone in New York responds soon after will the time stamp be 8:01am for me? Conversely, would it have been 11:00am for the person in New York? And also for the other posts from other countries?

The display is usually an offset of GMT or Greenwich Mean Time (sp?)

So GMT - 5 hours is EST and GMT - 8 hours is PST and so on.

The system just calculates it from there.
