TT39 vs OS37 SZ-H
I have a 30V2 with the stock TT39 engine. I have been told that the OS37 SZ-H has tons more power.

I know it won't fly like a 50 but is it worth the upgrade?

Thanks for any comments.

OS vs TT...
The OS is worth it's weight in gold. Easier to tune and better quality. Can't go wrong with an OS.

If your TT is working for you, probably not worth upgrading it.

I'll have to...
qualify the OS vs TT statement. We had a club member that got over 39 'gallons' of fuel through his TT .39 before it went south. Knowing how much actual flying that had to be, I'd say that in his case, that he got his moneys worth out of the TT .39. I'm also sure that in an OS's situation that you 'should' get at least twice that much time in on one. I'll also say that it also depends on how good you are at setting the needle on the TT and the OS, and if you take good care of each by not letting them rust.

TT39 vs OS37
I've had 3 conrod failures with my TT39 and numerous tuning problems before I decided to go with the OS37 SZ. What a difference! even carry aerial photography gear - no sweat, no fuss!

Hello Hrosee,

I just upgraded my tired TT36 pro to an os50 and counldn't be happier ,the set it and forget it tuning the easy starting and the power is worth everything. I don't know the power difference between the os37 and os50 ,but their is a post about this issue and the bottom line was skip the os37 and go with the os50. Either way it's a win win situation.
