set up: 401 gyro, Airtronics digital servo, 430l align motor and align 35 esc....futaba 9c radio with Hitec electronics reciever...futaba 65 on every thing else....

It's sound like you have to reverse your giro.

I think you are right...should I do that on the radio or gyro or does it matter.

You reverse it on the gyro. There is a switch.

you can test it on the bench. Just swing the tail of the helicopter and the trailing edge of the tail blades should dig towards the way you are swinging the tail. Make sense?

Sounds like you have your revo mixing on. If you use the Gy401 gyro or any gyro that has heading hold, you need to turn off your revo mix. Revo mixing is in your radio. Some radios have that option on by default. Make sure you turn it off. That should solve your problem.

One way to check this is when you throttle up, your pitch and your tail will move accordingly. If it does, that means your revo mix is on.

Also, before you do that test, make sure you disconnect your motor from the esc or make sure you have throttle hold active.

The problem was my gyro....all I needed to do was reverse on the gyro and all is well...Made two flights this morning and what a nice little machine...Now I know a lot of people say the heli flies perfect without any trim...I never believed most of them because my helis always needed some trim....well, that changed with this heli,,,I did not need to use any trim al all...lots of power and very quite and smooth...I am really pleased and now will start looking for upgrades that make it fly even better...

I didn't push it today and with the 2100 mah 15c APEX batteries flew about 6 minutes each...I assume the packs will allow me to fly around 8-9 minutes per pack...

Any suggestion on upgrades will be appreciated...I am flying the 450 SE, Align 430L, 35 amp controller, 401, airtronics digital servo and futaba 65 everywhere else.
