How to clean a carburetor?
Could a golden hearted pilot describe the best way to clean a carburetor? My OS70 seems to cough once in a while and I found some floating debris inside the header tank, which I am also cleaning. I am also replacing all the fuel tubbing.

Thanks, much appreciated.

Fully disassemble the carb and clean with Xylene carburettor cleaner and inspect all passageways for any debris. Make sure you remove the O rings cos they don't like Xylene. Are you using a decent fuel filter on the carb inlet ?Vegetable rights and Peace

I use a solution I found at auto zone its water based and has no odor
so the wife wont screem and I break down the entire engine and clean it all at once it will remove the baked on fuel and oil from your plank engine also it comes in a one gallon paint can and it is also
water soluble DO not use a harsh chemical and remove all rubber before you soak it
The first step in gettin help is admitting you have a problem ( yes I am addicted to helicopters )
