Glitching question
I finally was able to get out and fly over the weekend as it's been several months of family medical issues that has kept me off the field. Anyway I was at the local flying field with maybe 10 guys. Nobody was on my frequency, however when I fired up my Rex the tail was jumping all over the place and the red light on the gyro was blinking. I also had limited control of the motor. I quickly shut down the power yet the motor kept going on and off by itself. Let me tell you unplugging the battery with the blades spinning is a daunting task. After this near death experience I walked the line to see who was on my channel. Nobody was even close, but what I did notice is probably half the guys had Spektrum radios. I decided it was too risky to try it again so I left. When I got home I fired up the Rex and all was good. I was explaining this issue to another pilot and was told there are stories of people experiencing this same phenomena when surrounded by Spektrum radios. He said there are reports that some Spektrum radios are "walking" over the standard frequencies causing glitching. Has anyone else heard of this?

I know, bad on me.....I had such a short window of time to fly I hit a field more local to me. I promise I will be back, but with such a long dry spell of no flying, I really got rusty!**** OCHC member ****

The gyro is on top of the frame where the tail shaft attaches, the receiver is under the main gear. The strange thing, this is the first time I have experienced any kind of glitching. This was not a normal glitch, this was like someone else was controlling the heli. I just wondered about the Spektrum thing the other pilot told me about as when I did walk around asking who was on what frequency, I noted about 1/2 the pilots were using a Spektrum which is way more than I have flown around before. Hard to say, could have been someone nearby at a park or something, but when I got home all was fine.**** OCHC member ****
