Raptor 50 excessive headspeed and tracking issues
Well, I made changes to my setup and I set the pitch from -9 to +9 based on a recomendation for the non-hyper engine. The headspeed was excessive (with a linear 0, 25, 50, 75, 100 Throttle curve and Pitch curve) at over 2000 rpm!

So I set the pitch from +11 to -11. This was much better, but was still over 1900 with the linear curve. I adjusted the Throttle Curve to 0, 20, 45, 70, 100 and it improved to 1800 rpm. But this is still a bit high.

What have you guys been doing to get your headspeed closer to 1600 and 1700 rpm? I have a non-hyper engine and the stock (plastic) head.

Tracking

I finally got the tracking dialed in. It took more turns of the link than I expected. But after dialing it in, I measured the pitch and found my slave blade (which is the one I adjusted) was actually 3 degrees different from the master blade. This seems excessive to me.

Does it sound like I have a bad pair of fiberglass blades??

Thanks guys.

Try somethin like 0,20,40,60,80 on your curve to keep the speed down, you may have a bad blade but start by measuring the pitch on the grips to see if there the sameRe-entering the atmosphere...

what pipe?
The MP2 pulls the engine to 17k RPM, which is 2000 on the head. You have to work hard to get it lower :-)

Curtis Youngblood Muscle Pipe -2
It is a mini tuned pipe.

On a stock pipe, maintaining 1900 or 1800 should be doable, but 15 or 16 will be harder.
The R50 runs an 8.5-1 ratio, with an engine that makes max power at 17000. This translates to a 2000 RPM head speed. To get it down to 1500, you would need the engine at 12750, which is way low in the mid range. I would run it at 1800 or so on the head.
