When looking at the underside of the clutch bell, the bottom of the clutch should be seen to be no lower than the bottom of clutch bell and no higher than within 1mm of the bottom of the clutch bell.Vegetable rights and Peace

Rappy30 sorry i think theres a mis understanding, i mean i am going to drill out the 4 screws on the mount and make them a bit larger so the motor can be moved down slightly. I would never drill out the holes on the motorRaptor 50 Titan / OS 50 Hyper / GY401 w/ 9254

The OS mount looks similar but has different bolt hole spacings....

Seriously, if the engine does not drop right in and line up with the screw holes then you have the wrong engine mount. Do not mess with trying to make it work. Go get the correct part and install it with care.

Think about it, the engine is one of the main sources of vibration on a helicopter, screw around with the mount connecting it to the frame and you will be chasing problems with the bird until you, or it, dies.

If nothing else take the engine and mount to your local hobby store so you can compare to an test fit for the correct part.

And NO...TT mounts don't work with an OS engine...

ok...then you are overlooking something. If it always fit perfect and now it doesn't then something had to change.

Use a ruler and measure the distance between the bolt hole centers on the mount and do the same for the engine...post the results...

using no screws set the engine in the mount.

Does any part of the engine other than the mounting tabs touch the engine mount. Look carefully, place a flashlight in front of the mount and look behind the mount for light comming through all around the motor case.

If there nothing is touching look vertically through the engine mounting holes, do they line up with the engine mount holes?

Did you ever get your con ron problem solved?

Then there should not be a problem, screw the engine on to the mount.

Make sure the engine mounting brackets sit flat to the engine mount along thier full surface, as long as they do then you are good.

You should not have to modify the bolt holes on the frames or the mount (where it joins the frames) to get the engine to line up now.

If the clutch bell is still rubbing the clutch then you need to make sure the pinion is all the way into it's bearing. Take out the clutch bell and re-insert it, this time making sure the pinion goes fully into the bearing, note the gear mesh, the primary gear and the pinion should be pretty much lined up.

please be a little more specific in your posts.

What does not line up? Is the fan hitting the frame? is the fan hitting the clutch bell? more information is needed.

i think i got this figured out now, i gotta make the holes in the frame longer so i can slide the engine down, the clutch is way to far up in the bell, and is hitting hte top, and it needs to go even further up to fit the current screw holes in the frameRaptor 50 Titan / OS 50 Hyper / GY401 w/ 9254

You should not have to adjust any holes ANYWHERE, your doing something wrong!!!

Do yourself a favour and either get someone to help or find you camera lead

Start with the engine in your hand with nothing else fitted, fit the fan with NO washer between tha fan and front bearing, when installed correctly there should be no movement of the crank in and out of the engine and with the plug removed it should turn easily with NO noises or grinding.

Do this then come back and i'm sure we can get it sorted, i've got 2x Hypers in R50's and they've both been plug and play.

Also, just to note all new raptor kits come with a mount which is suitable for both the OS and the TT, the mounting hole centres are the same anyway the OS case is just slightly wider.
