Hacker A20-6XL or JGF 450TH?
I'm looking for a good 3s setup that will keep my motor and batteries cool.

Neither of these are going to run very cool. Go with a jgf 450f, It runs much cooler than the 450th and has more power. I run a hacker a20-6xl, it has alot of torque but runs far from cool.Timing is everything

Sorry to say but that's bollocks! The 450th is one of the most efficient motors around. It runs real cool...... if not your setup is wrong! Check out the motor test on that tuning web site were not supposed to mention!

Have you actually run the 450f and the 450th? The 450th doesn't run dangerously hot, it just runs much warmer than the 450f. Sure the 450th can pull higher headspeeds, but it has no where near the torque of the 450f. If your'e not doing hard 3d I could see why you would draw this conclusion. But for 3d the 450f is hands down winner over the 450th! The 450th runs cooler than my hacker a20-6xl as well, however the hacker puts the 450th to shame as far as torque goes. We'll let Ibheli be the judge.

Look'n at my flight log on temps the hottest temps recorded using 450th 13t,Jazz & TP2100 are
450th=110
Jazz=88
TP2100=130
9min of Flight time
The Hacker @ 3min was 142. I need to get a new bat before I can be sure of results!

Have you actually run the 450f and the 450th?
I have two 450th's motors. Since the thread is specifically asking about a 450th I don't see what the 450f has to do with anything. The 450th IS a cool running motor, at least compared to the standard Align 430L which for sake of arguement is 'the standard'. Nope I'm not good enough for 3D just flying around but at that the 450th, 35A esc and battery pack get barely warm! Again I refer you to the motor tests.

The thread actually asks for the best cool running 3s setup. He just made reference to the hacker and 450th. I said go with the 450f because it runs much cooler that the 450th and has more torque. Being that you haven't run both motors or have done anything to draw any heat out of it, I don't see your point. Again I will refer you to my real life test results.Timing is everything

Like I say........ bollocks!.......... as stated on the 'rexy tuning site' 450th test report:

"Again this is a very cool running motor."

Whatever you say man or should i say what t rextuning says. I'm telling you real life experience here for a good running motor for 3d (how you really prove a motor) I have tried all of these motors were talking about here, sounds like you've hovered around the 450th, looked at a website, and now recommend it. Tell me, how is it that you say it is such a cool running efficient motor?? How much headspeed are you pulling with it, what kind of pitch? How much torque does it have? Will it do climbing tic tocs well? etc, the list goes on, you can't possibly rate a motor by hovering it around or doing some mild forward flight. As far as power and torque go the motors were talking about here go in this order. 450th, 450f, hacker a20-6xl. The 450f runs the coolest out of all of these, the hacker the hottest. And I guess the 450th runs cool, when you don't draw any power out of it. Run a 13t on that motor with 10.5 degrees of pitch, that will give you around 3000 headspeed, tell me how much it bogs on a punch out,T rex tuning says it bogs to under 2300. Then temp it after doing that for several minutes, like would happen in 3d. Then do that back to back with the other motors mentioned above. Once you've done that tell me how they run. A static bench test is like puting a car on a dyno, not always accurate with real life results.Timing is everything

yes and at that, rated from least harsh on batteries to most harsh. 450f, 450th, hacker a20-6xl. The hacker is real hard on batteries as they warm them up on average of 140-150 doing hard 3d. So taking all of what has been said here the 450f is the best choice. It runs cool, isn't harsh on batteries and has a good amount of torque.Timing is everything

The A20-6XL has by far the most power, but the motor generally runs toasty, however they are designed to take it.

isn't harsh on batteries
that sounds like a technical conclusion
Sorry I'm not an expert on the molecular makeup of lipo's. I'll be sure to study that up and give you a far more technical answer that no one else can understand. 450ft? Iv'e always heard of people calling it the 450f, and the packaging it came in said jgf 450f. It looks just like the 450th but has a red case instead of a blue one.
