What head stiffnees are people using?
I tried the 2.5mm spacers on my SE v2 and the head was stiff. But I am not sure if it was to stiff? When I went to decend and the tail would start to move up and down. Is there any one who was able to fix this? I went back to the 1.5mm spacers in the head and that fixed it. Has anyone had a boom strike with the 1.5mm spacers? I am also thinking of adding a .5mm washer to get the head stiffer with out going to the 2.5mm spacers. Any ideas?

The only thing I've read is that if the head is too stiff it will cause some wobble in flight. The O rings mush down over time, and my original spacer left more play in the assembly than I liked. I recently upgraded to the thicker spacers and it flies great.

I now prefer to have a very stiff head and use expo to "soften" it so I don't overcontrol. The best thing I've found are these: http://www.deeteeenterprises.com/NS...Dampeners.X.php
Unfortunately DeeTee is out of them right now--I don't know where else you might get a pair. But anyway, I installed mine WITH the 2.5 spacers, as well, but I lightly filed the spacers' edges to reduce how much they bite into the rubber for longer wear. Now the head is super-stiff...I run -15 expo and it works great. With the head this stiff I don't ever expect to have another boom strike.

If something hasn't broken on your helicopter, it's about to!

If the heli wobbles for a certain dampening then the headspeed is too low for that dampening setting. You have two choices, soften the dampening like you did, or what I would prefer, raise the headspeed.

marc8090 I did rase the head speed when i had the 2.5 mm spacers on the ship and I tried it lower too. the head speed is over 2800 on idle up 1. And I sill got a wobble. I went back and everything is fine. I am worried about a boom strike. maybe i just need to play around with it some more. I have been thinking of making my own 2.0mm spacers and cut the difference between the two spacers and see if that would be better.
