You can check out this thread for info.

In simple terms:

SWM = CCPM (three servo control both collective and cyclics together)
HPM = Mechanical Mix (each of the three servos perform one function. I.e one for collective and one on each of the cycic directions.)

In my opinion only, the SWM provides for a much improved collective and cyclic power as compared to the HPM with the same servos. The HPM on the other hand has better precision on the cyclics as result of no interaction of the three servos working together to provide the collective and cyclics. I've used both setups on both the EVO50 and the EVO90 and I do perfer the SWM as the improvement in the collective and cyclics. As for the interactions of a typical CCPM (SWM) setup, one can minimize it via very good servos and proper mechanical and radio setup.

Hope this helps.

Thanks
I have read a lot on the eccpm and the standard control systems. If one is running standard servos (not digital or very accurate servos) would it be best to use the standard control system? I have heard that unless all servos travel the same speed, etc, that the eccpm can have some control interaction between the servos and produce undersirable flight effects.
Please give me some feedback as I may buy one of these kits.
Thanks,
Gary

Gary,

If you are planning on using non-digital or even low end digital for some time, I would recommend the HPM versio as you will have less fustration. With types of servos you will see more interaction than with higher end servos and as a result will spend more time tring to mix out the interactions. And then once you have you will notice that over time you will need to do again.

Both setups work very well and will allow you to do the same stuff just with a different "feel".

I hope this helps to answer your questions.

With the HPM setup, you need a good powerful servo on the collective, whilst the two cyclic servos can be lower "quality", something like a 9202 would suffice.Vibe 90, Vibe 50, Vigor CS x2,
Dyna-x, Knight 503D, Logo 10,
TRex 500, Furion, Gaui EP200
