Hirobo H500D -vs- Century H500D
I just watched a video clip on RRTV from the recent Hirobo fly-in of their H-500D for the Sceadu. Really cool looking machine in flight. Checking the MRC web site, theis fuselage is listed at $895.00. The VERY similar looking Century Fuselage is listed for $549.00. They look the same right down to very simialr "N" nubers.

Can someone tell me what the difference is between these two excellent looking bodies. I know Hirobo quality is good, but $350 better?????

well they are actually the same. the fuses are both from the same manufacturer. the only difference is that the hirobo has the woodwork done for their machine(sceadu) and it is made to just drop right in. not sure why such a big difference in pricing, they are both of very high quality. maybe it is the extra work already donre t the hirobo to accept your sceadu. the century one does require some work for each mechs it is designed to take. some drilling and fitting is required. the hirobo requires no work at all exept installing windows, mechs and go. no measuring and guessing.drive a rotary, fly a rotorcraft

Thanks Doc! Your answer was pretty much what I expected. For $350, I can do a bit of measuring and drilling. I also get the option of the green fuselage Century offers!

Along similar lines, perhaps you could answer another question for me concerning Hirobo -vs- Century bodies. The compatability chart for the Century fuselages has a note saying that the Bell 222/Airwolf (.60 size) will not fit Freya mechanics. The MRC site has a 222 for the Freya at higher cost. Do you know if the Century will in fact fit the Freya?

hmmm, i am not sure. i will look into this. unless the hirobo 222 is the exeption and not made by the same manufacturer as the funkey fuses, it should work. it may be a question of woodwork being different and not the actual fuse dimensions.drive a rotary, fly a rotorcraft
