450xl Tail boom slipping
I have a T-rex 450xl. I am having trouble keeping the tension on the tail belt drive constant. After every flight, the tail boom slips. I have the tail mount as tight as I can get it, without stripping the screws, but that doesn't seem to hold it. It still slips, is there a fix for this?

I have the same Trex... And my tail boom works great...
So,,,, you might try using some clear tap on end of boom,, then slip it into the frame...
**Now doing Forward Flight And EASY 3d! And having a Ball !!**

I get slippage from any of my trex's every once in a while. You gotta crank em down good, and if you do, you can strip a screw. Try a streak of loctite on the tailboom before you set it in place and tighten it down. Check that your belt isn't messed up from slippage either. If that doesn't work, you can go further and drill a hole through the trex frame into the boom and insert a small setscrew, paying attention not to let it rub on the belt. problem solved!
(I usually put a screw through the frame and into the boom from the bottom of the frame and boom under the gyro. the belt is turned horizontally there, and wont rub on the screw)

Use a rear servo mount on the boom...
I have had the same problem and what I found works best is a metal or plastic boom servo mount butted up against the frame and tightened really tight...the boom WILL NOT loosen up ......you get a couple of these with the aluminum replacement booms from align...

Thanks,

I will try the rear servo mount first. I've thought about the set screw, but I'd hate to eat up the belt with a screw.

Use a rear servo mount on the boom...
That is a good idea, I went ahead and used Krazy glue to tack a couple of spots! no more slipn!! Make sure your belt has perfect tension first!
and one more thing "DON'T BE AFRAID!"
