Tired of bad service!! All is forgiven.
Sorry, I need to vent and ramble.
I have now had several occasions dealing with small online shops where my order was incorrect. I'm getting tired of dealing with these one-horse operations run out of someone's garage. I'm not going to mention the most recent merchant by name, as they have a good reputation and shipped most of my order correctly and quickly. I also don’t think this particular one is trying to rip me off. I plan to use them again assuming they fix my current problem. (HINTS FOR THE MERCHANT: You owe me an HS1132 and a Deans Ultra, or $10.99) I’m posting a message here because I know they check the boards. I have sent 2 emails pertaining to my incorrect order and no response at all. When I have an issue, I send a nice email, no big deal, etc, just take care of it. When I don’t get a response, I send another email, a little harsher. But I won’t send a third. I’ll just call my credit card company and they will take care of the rest. It’s not a lot of money, but having to fight for $5-10 on every part order adds up, is a waste of my time and frustrating.

I’m glad Horizon is going to start carrying Align and I hope Tower follows suit.

Biggest problem here is that we all assume that because someone has an email address, and we use it, someone will respond...In your dreams...period


If I had a £ or $ for every email that I've sent to companies or private individuals with a query who are selling/have sold me some product or other that have never replied I'd be a rich man


It's not rocket science, if you aren't going to reply or you don't have time to reply don't list an email, simple

These days I just slap a posting on Usenet in one of the porn groups with multiple copies of all the wasters emails I've ever dealt/tried to deal with

You think thats bad? I used to work for one of the heli vendors. (I too will fail to mention names.)
They really are run as bad as you mention here.. and sometimes worse. Half the time the vendors don't fly, and don't even know anyone who does fly besides their customers. This should help to explain why they seem dumbfounded when you tell them something is wrong..
They are in it for the money like anyone else is (most of them, not all of them) and they have to make a living doing this stuff, and probably don't have any more interest in actually playing with the toys they sell. It's business at this point to them, and we have to keep rememebring this. This is why it is hard pressed to get your $5 out of them I'm afraid.. but if you find a good vendor, they take good care of you.

I'm sorry to see that steve at dreamhobbies.com is or has shut down his site, as he provided the best service and price I have seen to date ( up untill a couple months ago). My items were always right and on time, if not early. Some of my other favorite vendors are Zooms for my larger heli parts and my local hobby store Pegasus Hobbies which usually has everything a few days after it comes out. Since they know my face and I come back alot, they usually take a few bucks off this or that when I'm checking out too! Just bought my trex 600 there and it's brand new. Find the right place, and thank them for their good service so you keep getting good service in the long run. I also found DeeTee enterprises to be on the money and on time with my orders as well as exceptionally friendly. They had an order to me within two days on a saturday! No extra cost. Some of the not so busy shops are more than happy to take your order, and are very quick and precise about it

And horizon must be carrying TREX..
I think Horizon is a big supplier of Pegasus, and they are stock full of those things and their parts. They are selling like pancakes, or so I'm told (trex 450's)

hmm, now that I look, looks like dreamhobbies.com is still there. Wonder why? I got an email saying steve was closing shop?
No affiliation to any of the above named vendors. I'm just a flyer enjoying the hobby like everyone else.

Joe at Tech Models has em all beat hands down! Answers e-mail same day if not same hour. Last package arrived before I got my USPS Click-n-Ship notification. Fast and no mistakes!!!!

Sometimes the Heli gods do smile on me. It's not often, but it happens. The above un-mentioned vendor called me and corrected the issue. They will definitely get my business again. And of course, there will be many agains.
