110%elevator
cyclic ring is reason for^^
hyper 50
80mm tail blades
Fromeco 4800 Relion
arizona reg=5,3V

it does not even flip it just looks like im bagging the sticks

i seem to be somewhat succesful with full rudder i have got a couple around that way

do i need to slow down on my cyclic movements cause of the fast servos.

i have ordered radix 92 tail blades will they help any??

You can do them with Mavrikk mains and plastic tail blades if you want.

How much expo are you using? how many degrees of cyclic do you have? why do you have your elevator and aileron atv's so high? what paddles are you using? It sounds like to me you are not timing it right all the time.

Just to clear up a really common misconception.

Cyclic rings have nothing to do with improving or aiding piroflips and chaos.

Our swash plates are circular devices. Unfortunately, they are being controlled by an electronic unit with a square input. As a result, when you make an input down in the corner of that square (full left cyclic and full forward simultaneous cyclic for example) you may bind the head.

What is the solution? Reduce AIL and ELE endpoints. So now you arent binding 'in the corner' but you've lost some AIL and ELE.

The cyclic ring physically gets rid of that corner. It makes the electronic input a circle - so it matches the mechanical movement of the swash.

It allows you to keep all that AIL and ELE and not worry about 'the corner'

It has nothing to do with chaos or piroflips, and should not be put on a transmitter for such a purpose.

If it looks like you are banging the sticks then you really have not even practiced doing a piro flip in a sim. To piro flip, you really have to pay attention to the helis orientation to have full control of it in any position as it pirouette around.

using full rudder would make it harder to chaos because you would have to move your cyclic just as quick

try using less rudder

my paddles are the greenies. tv is high cause of cyclic ring it increases the amount of throw without binding.

my expo is like at 50%

im not sure about the cyclic pitch??

A cyclic ring can't increase anything, i think you mean that you upped the ATV's to get full travel becuase the cyclic ring reduced stick travel

Expo @ 50% is pretty high, i'd try and get that dialled down a bit

how would a cyclic ring give you more throw ?

also turn the expo down to around 15% that will be better

if you think about it, it doesnt give you any more throw it just stops you from going in the corners and binding. if anything it should give you less....

Speed has nothing to do with piroflips. TOTAL CONTROL on all orientation is. I could care less if you have umpten% expo or use a gold plated cyclic ring. But the slower you do it, the harder it is to control. To get rid of the banging effect, do it right and PRACTICE for hours on end.~~~~ Defy the laws of gravity....gracefully ~~~~

Re: Cyclic Ring increasing throw

Let's illustrate with 2 scenarios.

1.) No cyclic ring

ATV's on AIL and ELE 100%

When you put the stick into the 'corner' you encounter binding. The solution is to reduce the AIL and ELE ATV until the binding in the corner stops.

Now you end up with AIL and ELE ATV at lets say 90%.

2.) Cyclic Ring Installed

ATV's on AIL and ELE 100%

When you put the stick into the 'corner'.....oh wait a minute - thats right - there is no corner So you can leave your ATV's at 100%.

So this is what is meant by saying you can increase throw by using a cyclic ring. The guy with the ring gets to leave his ATV's at 100%. The guy without the ring either lets it bind (which a lot of guys do) or they back off on ATV.

Alan and Danny cant stand cyclic rings. Personal preference - and I'm pretty sure they run all the cyclic they want.
