flippin' 100 degree heat!
Ok it's only 90 plus with stiffling humidity. I'm on vacation from my fulltime job this week and was looking at getting caught up on my AP, so of course it's hotter then hell.

99% of the time I have all the power I need in my old Xcell to haul around my 2lb Sony camera and all the gear but when it's this hot there's not much reserve power.

Just as an experiment (and a precaution) I lightened the load and put a Cannon A620 point-and-shoot on there yesterday. It did a great job and at 1.5lbs lighter then my Sony the heli didn't know it was there

Good call, Ethan.

Are you satisfied with the quality of the lighter setup?

Hey, whatever works to get the job done when it's this hot

Heard a comedian this weekend who remarked about the heat:

"It's so hot, it makes me wanna stab somebody. In the face."

That's pretty hot.

You call that comedy?

The heat is horrible over here too ... mid 90s at the moment and so humid and sticky!

David

PS. The A620 rocks!

The quality is about the same but It's kind of sensitive to movement so I have some blurry pics if I'm fighting wind. Probably some different settings will improve that.

I think I'm gonna go sit poolside and sip a "7&7" slurpee.
Greg, maybe I'll have 2m just for you.

Bitter sweet moments, I'll be standing outside in this heat for 4 hours on Tuesday and Wednesday......Oh wait I'll be piss drunk watching Bon Jovi kick a$$ at Giant Stadium. Life could be worse and I'll betcha it's a little hotter in HELL.....a little bit Bobby.

Have an Ice Cold Adult Beverage and remember the last time you were out plowing 2 feet of frigging snow off the driveway....

Sure you can, you just have to let the blades spooled down by themselves
