9C super is a great radio.

I would still be flying with it if I didn't neet more channels for scale.

I went with the 14. The 12 is nice, too. Unless you need something those radios provide, I would look into the 9C.

Hi,

Yes you can use it on reflex but it could be that you need to buy an extra adaptor lead to make the transmitter fit to the dongle.

I originally bought Reflex XTR with the lead for a Hitec (also fit Futaba round). When I bought my 9C, I made my own lead from a phone wire and a Futaba square connector. The wiring diagram is on the Reflex wab site at http://www.reflex-sim.dyndns.org/re...ath=15_35_45_49

9C Super is a fantastic all around radio. I think it is a perfect upgrade from the OPtic.
I use mine to drive XTR and it works great

Tower's prices were better than servocity for a complete package, though.

If you want hitec servos, servocity is normally the place to go.

I am running hitec CCPM servos in my flybarless Benzin.

Being able to program them has been a big help in getting it dialed in.

I have always had Futaba Tx's.

When I have strayed from Futaba I have regretted it.

Now for Rx's and servos, I use what works. After stripping a JR servo in flight, I try to stay away from those, however.

Your milage may very, blah, blah, blah.....

Have fun shopping, enjoy the new radio.

Look for a used 9z. Everyone is jumping to the 12 or 14mz and you can get a good deal on an excellent radio that can do just about anything. Check the classified section I think there is one for sale now.

As I posted on another post here today
---------------------------------------------------------------
Need a t-shirt with a picture of someone with the crap kicked out of them and a caption that says "I learned everything about programming my 9Z!"

I absolutely love the radio, and love flying with it, but even as a career computer guy, the radio programming gives me constant "what kind of stuff were the Futaba guys smoking when the designed the interface???" thought.
----------------------------------------------------------------

I love the 9Z, but unless you have a specific need for a certain function, or need to spend 600+ to retaliate for wife buying a computerized sew machine , the 9C Super is a superb choice

Whatever you do, don't get the 9Z. Firstly, it is a complicated radio and I don't know why anyone will want to buy a used product that has been discontinued.------------------------------------

I love my Super 9, still have the super 8 but it doesn't even compare in my opinion. Very good menu on the 9, too. I had a 9c before the super but not much difference but if you got the extra $$ I'd go super. I hear junior ...err, JR radios are alright too

I would not say "what ever you do, don't get the 9Z"...
I think it is a fantastic radio, and still holds its own against most others. I would rather spend 5-700 on a perfect condition 9Z than 1400 on a 12Z that does not do anything more for me.
Once I got past the programming learning curve, I absolutely love my WC2.
