They new this was an issue but released the product anyway. Im not happy as a lepton owner. They new this was an issue but released the product anyway. Im not happy as a lepton owner.

That is a vague assumption to make hellacool
Again, there is the occasional blow out, but it is not like the tail is not holding all the time.
No assumption from me. He admits it has a problem and when they say they tested it would that not include basic climb outs as part of normal testing? I will agree with you that nothing is perfect and there are revisions to be made most of the time. What I dont like is the fact that this is hirobo we are talking about. They are supposed to be top on the heli food chain. They nailed the copter until it came to the tail. Why not just go all out with a hot tail setup instead of skimping with the cheap flexible plastic blades and vertical stabilizer? Really these two parts look like they cost 10 freaking cents to me! As a matter of fact I wouldn't pay you ten cents if you sold them to me. I dont want to hear about "oh so the kit can be sold for less by passing savings on to the consumer" that want fly because I paid a shiot load for this heli. I do also realize that they dont just target us 3d guys. You have a good point there as well. Having a tail blow out on you is a huge HUGE issue in my book. The tail holding ability of the heli is what lets us fly the way that we do. Without that there is no confidence and no fun in it for me. Just think of how hard you are working to fly a heli with out it throwing in unwanted orientations due to the tail realigning its self as it sees fit. BOGUS!!!

yeah we tached..but honestly they were not full power climb outs. It only takes about 3/4 power before it starts to wrap. If you were to just nail full collective it would do a couple piros for sure..ask me how I know!

Hellacool, do me a favor fly it for what it is. If you are or if you fly in competitons I am pretty sure you are not going to use the Lepton. just fly don't get too crazy with. Not eveery heli is built with every trick in mind, note that as soon as some one comes out with carbon tail blades you probably wont have this issue.

My daughter's godfather spent a fotune on a brand new BMW just to return for something else after suffering thru the same problems three time you would figure after all testing they would have caught the problem, but you know what that is the way of life doesn't matter if it's Align or Hirobo there is always something that i going to make us a little uncomfortable.

Just remember, you can bet when Krauses new chopper finally is released it will have an issue that some does not like. So fly and enjoy till there is carbon tail blades.

This heli has so much freaking power I dont really see how you would bog the head. In fact it seems like it is so powerful that the tork of the motor just twists it around.
Maybe that is your problem decrease your headspeed and though your flying will have to be a little slower and more controled. you won't have these blowouts. It just seems that everyone is trying blow the headds up on this chopper to get etter performance instead of fly with a little more control.

they are in boxes right now. Im not for sure if I plan on flying them in the future or not. I know if I sit back and wait a while someone will fix these issues. Until then I will just fly other stuff. A freind of mine has one as well. After seeing the issues with these he is sitting on his also. I loved the way that it built..I also think it looks bad ass...but still I will wait.

bling this and that...
That's fine with a Trex - but we took out a second mortgage on our homes for what is supposed to already be a blinged helicopter! Hirobo research, development, and test should find significant issues like this before it hits the public.

It's like the difference between certain car manufacturers - for some of them the public ends up doing all the testing and finding all the problems. When I purchase a car, I don't want to know the service manager on a first name basis!

The Lepton tail issue and Robbe fix are both well documented BEFORE the kits were even available for sale in the US. Are the people who bought on a whim now bellyaching about it?
