I want to also thank RCAPA for their sponsorship of this clinic. It shows that if we all have a similar passion, we can help the each other and the "profession" to reach new heights (no pun intended).

The flights this morning (Sunday) were fun and the weather cooperated. We'll post some pics later. Now if those guys will just stop making fun of my shoes!

Medical reasons - I had to miss this one. I'll make the next one, though. I went to the Albuquerque conference last year and learned SOOOOO much. This one sounds like it was even bigger. Like has been said - these are well worth the trip!

Start planning the next one... I'll be there...

Tommy, Mike, Bill, Mark, (and Bo!) I just don't know what to say. I'm nearly speechless. And that's rare. Seriously, if it weren't for all of you, this wouldn't have been a success. Thank you guys so much for coming out, and for teaching me some things I didn't know. If I stop learning, start shoveling dirt on me!

Tony, my friend, if it weren't for the advice you give me, I'd be nowhere. You really don't have to send me a camera. You are too kind to me. Thank you.

And I also owe quite a bit to David (Daveye) Markowich. He got me using CS2, taught me tricks and tips that I am able to pass along, and between he and Tony, and countless hours of sitting behind the monitor practicing their techniques, that's where I got the info that I was able to share.

And Rick Connolly at RCAPA is very kind to have provided lunch and the conference room rental. What can I say about such a class act. Goes to show RCAPA's strong support of our industry.

Hey Mike, the rchoverdisc is back together, awaiting two new servos. All will be well in short order!

As if my wife would ever see this (not), I owe her tremendously. Guys, go hug your wives and kids, and tell them you love them, and thank them for supporting what you do to grow this industry. My wife has done things for me and our guests that I can't even measure.

You know the best part of this for me is the fellowship, and sharing techniques and seeing how others put this equipment to use, seeing how it's configured, seeing what makes each one of you successes in your own right. Again, thanks to all of you for coming out. It was a blast! Round 2 will be bigger, better, with more effort expended on marketing and flying. Heck, I should just line up some projects and let you guys do all the work for me!

She's standing over my shoulder now, and she said you're all very welcome, anytime. Mike, it was great to finally meet you. Please PM me your home addy...got something to mail to you. Thanks for the hardware tips, and for bringing out that e-raptor. What a cool bird!

Bill, I forgot to thank you for coming up to spend your time with setups for these guys. As usual, your help is tremendous. If I could afford it, we could start a traveling road-show, and go on tour with this. Who says Blue Comedy gets to have all the fun?

Tony, you da' man.

We shot some video of us at the conference, mostly playing in Greg's front yard flying the Hoverdisc. I threw some of it together,it's kinda goofy.

I'm experimenting with some higher quality settings, the video is about 4 minutes and it's 40MB:

Also took a few spy photos down in Greg's labratory. Greg's got several neat projects under way.

Greg and Mike putting the glow wire on the Hoverdisc for night flying...

Well, as I start implementing the ideas you gave me this weekend, I'm hoping I will be working full time.

I'm waiting for the wind to settle down so I can go work on my night shot with the pole.

Talked to Tim Hutcherson today and told him what he missed. My head's about to explode I got so many ideas!

Man, sounds like you guys had a great time!

It was way too far for me to make it down from Michigan, and a family vacation was scheduled anyways, but I thought I saw mention of handouts.

Greg,

Do you have any handouts in electronic format that we could download?

Thanks,

Scott

Yep Tony, it's ready for flight. I just haven't had a chance to maiden it yet with my other projects standing in the way! I also just sent off my lipo packs for an annual checkup, and to have taps installed for balancing. Mike turned me on to the Hyperion balancer at this clinic, and I had to get one. But my 10s packs weren't tapped, so Brian is fixing that for me now.

Scott, nothing in electronic format, sorry. The handouts I provided were specific to each of the attendees, with exception to a bit about understanding print sizes as they relate to digital photography.

Hey Mark, the video was great buddy! You even got my good side. It was great to hang out with you guys (or as we say in Bama, all yall).

I just got my Hoverdisk and accessories ordered. I'm gonna use a G26 for power and a World Engines Galloping Ghost radio system. It's gonna have a HC-ASK-FOILATION interbred camera mount with full roll and one of those gyros from Kenya like Greg's. Don't know about a camera yet but I'm leaning towards a nice Sony VHS unit I picked up at a flea market on the way home from Birmingham.
Per Perry "Catfish" Kavros recommendation, I'm gonna use a CAR-VAC (or maybe a Dirt-Devil) for stabilization and the Eagle's Nest data recorder. I figure if the G26 won't lift it, I'll get Dakine Tony to sell me one of his turbines for fifty bucks.

I know all yall are enveous(sp), but hey, when your making millions doing AP work you can afford to splurge sometimes.
