Align 6s2p pack balancer plug

Does anyone know the pinouts for the balancer plug on the new Align 6s2p packs or where I can get an adapter plug? I need to convert it over to work on a TP-210 balancer.Where did that heli come from? amm..I made it out of spare parts honey!

I'm searching

I just noticed your post -- i am contacting everyone to try and find an adapter for my align battery -- i also have the tp 210 balancer. thunder power said they will offer no help!!! I have an email out to the align people to see if they can help...there will probably be a large amount of people in the same position...

As far as pin outs go if you have the Align battery. Just check two pins at a time until you find pack voltage (usualy the end or outside pins). This is the - of the first cell and + of the last cell. Stay on the - of the first cell and find the + of that cell (one cell voltage). Move the minus to that one and find its + and so on. Most batteries go from one end to the other. First pin to last would be pack voltage. The minus pin to the next would be node 1, pin 2 to 3 node 2, ect.

You can buy the Align to TP addaptor harness here if your talking about 3s.

I don't have an align battery to confirm yet

You will have to wire a 4-pin and 6-pin TP wires to it.

Skew, yes that is the plug required. I know its not the Thunder Power balancer but I have the Duralite/Flightpower 2 - 6S balancer and the balancer plug on the Align pack fits straight in with a small modification, removing the keys with a sharp blade, and balances perfectly

Gentlement,

I got Align 6s 4.2a lipo and the TP 210V and the 7 wire female plug.

After went through the TP210V manual, it mentioned that I have to use bank#1 both A & B plug.

Here is the question, how do I split the wire into 2 plug, since there is no more -ve wire left for the 2nd plug to it.

Or I just plug the +ve pin to the 1st pin of the 2nd plug.

Or I have to bridge the 3rd & 4th cell wire then plug it to the 1st pin of 2nd plug......

A pic or sketch to show on how to make it is much appreciate.

Flight powerbalancer for Lign Lipo

I use the flight power balancer for the align lipo in my t-rex 600 and it fits straight forward ,just a little tape to mask one line of pins and you are done .

I got my 4400 aligns in. The plug from my post above works perfect I used a TP 4 pin and 6 pin everything works great.

Hi Skew,

I'm not good in electrical/electronic so I want to make sure I do it right and will not burn my house.........

Are you bridge/split the 3rd cell wire to connector Group A and Group B simotinously. Accoriding to the manual 3rd & 4th cell should be connected. This is the most critical difficulty for me to understand by spliting the 7 pin connector straight into 4+6 to TP 210V.

If possible, I would like to see how you connect them from the 7 pin to 4+6 TP connector

Appreciate your help.

Here is a diagram, Yes the Orange from the 4 pin and the Black from the 6 pin are tied together to the green on the align plug.

It's not a good idea to trust somone elses wiring on your huge lipo packs

get what is called "SIP single inline pin strips" from fry's or your local electronics store besides radio shack. (Radio shack does not stock SIP pins) Then use the pins to plug into the Align lipo. This will make it easy to read voltage of the pack with a multi meter. Then, since you bought SIP pins, you can snap them appart in a row of 4 and a row of 6 and wire your own cable. IT doesn't take very long. I will have to be figuring it out soon too, cause I've got a few charges through my align lipo without balancing it yet. I will grab the TP balancer, some SIP's, and get a "cable diagram for dummies" going on, like those big yellow books they sell everywhere now. This shouldn't be very hard. I have to do it anyways, so I'll post how I did it.
The adaptor Skew made is a great start.. but leaves me with some questions as to what is wired where. Photo of an SIP strip included below. I just need to pick up the TP cell balancer today and I'll get some wires drawn up. I had one in my hand yesterday and didn't buy it.

I must warn you,
Do not short any pins while checking with a volt meter.. or you know what will happen =O. you could also forgo the cell balancer and charge each cell individually with this SIP pin header and a few longer wires soldered to it so you don't short out some pins.
