Still interesting in rushing a release date?
Maybe not.

But..

There has been plenty of time passed, to re-design a torque drive.

Yes No !!!

The only date I know for sure is 1-15-07. The date I move on. The only things I've bought that won't fit on another heli is two Aurora canopies and they can be sold.

I admit I was almost on fire when I first found out about the Aurora. I imediately started to gather my stash together to be ready when the kit comes out. But like others now, I'm loosing the fire inside my heart. I'm a compulsive buyer and now by the time it comes out most of my stuff will be obsolete or rusty. Its like postponing an orgasm until its no fun anymore

Oh well. All my stuff can be fitted in another 90 if it comes down to it. I shouldn't have sold my freya... could use the kit to build an avant fx or something like that...

Starting to feel depressed.

LOL!!!
I know exactly what you mean. Chasing that dangling carrot gets old after a while. Since IRCHA (where I spoke with a couple people wearing black Team Avant t-shirts) I have sold an "Evo 60" and and Evo 50 to make room and free up some cash for the Aurora. I'd have been better of just keeping what I had. Flying Hirobo's is alot more fun than watching a few videos! Before someone jumps on me, no, my arm wasn't twisted to sell anything. I just figured the people at IRCHA associated with the team would know something. I will remember all of this the next time the "latest and greatest is supposed to come out.

I find reading this thread entertaining. I hope a lot of people do decide to buy something else because they just could not wait. That way there will be plenty of Aurora's available when they do come out and I will not have any trouble finding one. I bet those that do buy something else will be drooling over the Aurora's when they start showing up at their flying sites and they will then be wishing they had waited.

AGREED! This is well worth the wait, making sure EVERYTHING is correct and not having to recall parts after a month or some due to faulty parts like the old 600 blade grips.

It's nice to know people are so easily entertained. The problem isn't the wait (at least not with me).

It sure is amazing how people can predict the future. I just don't understand why all those who know exactly what the future holds aren't predicting the winning lottery tickets....

I don't know about anyone else but I can't and am not trying to predict the future. I do believe the past is a good predictor of the future.

Like they say in the Car sells business, if the clients walks out of the door without signing the purchase paper, forget about the sale. That is why I do not own a minuature any more, or Synergy.I got tire of waiting and when they came out, I already purchased a nice Raptor 90 that I am very happy with it.
And Augusto is not the only one doing this, Miniature, Synergy and the Electric Raptor had the sames issues and that is not a good business maneuver. If They claim that something is going to be out for sell and they change the day, they should have the courtesy to tell the client about it, perhaps they don't have an idea when the heli will hit the Market. The clutch supplier in China did not work out, the Tail boom supplier in India did not keep the promise, the canopy maker in Guatemala did not get the fiberglass on time, etccc.
Can you image Sony telling that the Play Station will in in store on Nov 18 and people were camping, outside and suddenly they say sorry, no No play stations.
I have a friend that won a Razor in a fun fly and he still waiting for it.
I will be in Vegas for the fun fly in February, perhaps the heli will be available by them.

It's nice to see I'm not alone. Some people just don't get the point. I don't need details of the problems. Realistic dates that are close would be a good place to start. If a date can't be met, give an update. It must be my fault because I believed Team Avan at IRCHA when they told me and several others it would be four to five weeks. I assumed the testing was further along than it actually was.

Everyone associated with Aurora testing and production, keep up the hard work and turn out the best helicopter you can. If I get one, I get one. If I don't, I don't. God willing, the sun will come up tomorrow either way.

i want an aurora and will get one as my 2nd 90 but am also getting a N9 because it is out now and i can get a lot of help with set up from people like Nigel Brown and parts are easy to get. As soon as the aurora gets released i will have if not a few months after. You can't just stop at one heli, the more the better.

RBgunner: Oh I will get one, no doubt about that. Its just not as exciting as it would be a few weeks ago.

I only can compare the feeling to wanting a car really really bad, then you work for some years and then when you finally manage to get the cash together you feel burned out inside and even after buying that car you wanted it just doesn't give you the pleasure you expected anymore.

I want/need a 90. I like flying them much more then my 50's (fuel costs suck though). I just hate the fact that I have EVERYTHING I need to complete a 90 size kit and its just collecting dust in some shelfs right now.

Tony:

You better sit with a nice bottle of Porto, enjoy the Blue Hydrengeas, watch few soccer matches while you wait for the Aurora.
If we were in the North Pole, the New Aurora will be March 21, 2,007
Right now we are in the dark.

tchavei, I know what you are saying. I have all my stuff just sitting here waiting for the Aurora just like you. I would love to have it now or even a few months ago, but we can't have it yet. The time will come and if the product is as good as promised the waiting will have been worth it and won't have seemed so bad. I wish I could afford to get another 90 and the Aurora too, but I can't, so I will just wait. My feelings on this may change if the Aurora is delayed for many more months. Then I may just have to get a different 90 sized bird. I have never flown a 90 only my Raptor 50, so I am anxious, but for now I will wait. If I am going to spend the money I want what has a high probability of being the best.

Update, all my CY stuff has just arrived (Radix mains, tail and stubz)

Now I really need an Orbit Ssaver monitor and a fuel filter to finish the stash.

I forgot all about the fuel filter. You can't have an Aurora without a fuel filter
