Not sure how its going, but I'm sure production is going good, more than half of the mechanics stuff for the Aurora was already manufactured for the Avant and they have stock of those parts.

Got to see the new modifications(break away tabs and easy main gear removal) this weekend from Dannys heli. Really cool and you can tell this heli is detail oriented and built for simplicity and ease of construction/maintenance.

Can't wait to get one! Iwas originally planning on getting the Predator Carbon Gasser, but since they've been out of stock for a while, I'll have to wait anyway. In a way, I am glad that it was out of stock. Otherwise, I would've bought the Century.... Who knows..., I may get both.

If I weren't buying the heli till Jan. I'd still want it released ASAP so the bugs were worked out by then. 3D Wasp is there an anouncement about the release being delayed or is that "insider" information? There are parts that they have in stock, but Augusto was talking about a 900 kit release in 3 weeks and people are still waiting 10 days for single kits and heads. I'm in no rush. Getting the bugs worked out before hand is better than pushing an early release. .. But an Aurora would look nice under my Christmas Tree.

Since they are just prototypes, the parts are made in small quantities. Once the design is finalized, it probably would only take a week or so of full production to pump out the majority of finished parts for kits.Still buyin' and flyin' then crashing and cryin'

What I was refering to was that most were under the impression it was to be released at 3dmasters, then I think it was 3 weeks after Ircha. I dont think it was ever "officially" delayed. The latest i've heard is by the end of the month. However if it takes til Christmas I will wait. I dont have any "insider information" lol, just a normal guy waiting for it just like everyone else, I just actually got to talk to Danny at LA classic for about 10 mins, and thats what I gathered from the conversation, as well as his setup and what im going to run. My first 90, dont want to settle for anything less than the best.

Re: Any updates? Its been a bit quite for few days.
I was wondering the same thing myself. I actually put the question to Augusto himself on a previous post a couple of days ago. He hasn't posted since. The silence is deafening! That can't be a good thing. I don't understand all the secrecy behind the development and production when these companies have new products. They could easily keep us updated. We wouldn’t care if they ran into snags here and there. They could keep us posted on what they are working on and when they expect they’ll start boxing, shipping etc. It would actually create more excitement. And they’d probably sell more kits because people would be better prepared to get everything else they need. It might keep people from getting impatient and buying other kits.

I believe the Synergy wait amounted to about two years. We are only coming up on two months or so. It looks like Team Avant is flying like crazy and making a few minor updates to make sure this heli is as good as it can be before it ships. I'd like mine now, but I'll wait as long as necessary to get one.

I'll wait however long it takes and let the Szabos and the rest of Team Avant "Beta Test" the bird, I'm chompin at the bit though. Got most of the mechanics ready when it's released...Better to have tried and failed than to never have tried at all!!

Sorry about it but I can's post replys to requests for constant updates. We have work to do to get ready for release and we have to concentrate on doing it. We will post updates when there is something meaningful to post. In the meantime if I see something that requires information or clarification we will provide it without any problems.

Lack of information does not mean something bad. It simply means there is nothing meaningful to post about. We are following our plan and getting feedback from all the testing that's being done by the numerous pilots that are flying Auroras. There is no secrecy to it because all of them are flying them in their local fields on the weekends and at funflys. So far things are going pretty good so there is nothing out of the ordinary to report. Other than that We will simply concentrate on working towards the goal of releasing kits as soon as possible.

Most of the questions that people ask are actually answered in this post. Please take the time to read it all before asking the same question again. That will save everyone valuable time.

In the meantime thank you guys for the excitement and support. We are thrilled just as much as most of you are with the new heli.

Oh Good.
Well sounds like things are still on track then for a timely release date. I live where it gets cold in the fall, and the winters can be punishing. So if I could get it built, set up, and flying before Mid October, I'd be able to get some use out of it before Spring time. Here there is not much need for us to buy helis in the winter.

I should move!

I was suprised how fast it can be built! It took me all of four hours to get most of it done. All i have left is the tailboom. Sweet heli!!!! I went together easily. The canopy break-away points is genius. No longer do you have to buy the frame should you crash hard. the oneway is super smooth.

Guess they don't have to worry about stocking frames for spares.
