Question,
Can I use a phoenix 10 in my H2 with a twister motor, HS55/50, 240, and a pro lite 1320?

I think my MS speed control is defective. It began to make the motor sputter and twitch/jump at high rpms only. I thought it was the motor buy I tried a phoenix 10 I have and the motor worked fine. Any ideas?

I never found out how many amps this thing pulls so..Any help appreciated.
Thanks.

look the ms controlor? has a 2 amp bec?( corect me if im wrong) the cc 10 has two 1.5 bec's so castle creations dose no recomend the cc 10 for more than 3 mico servos but i called themand asked them about it , they said if its working that it should be fine!they said the the cc 10 uses the wire to heat sink the heat away from the Esc, the the two 1.5 amp bec's switch back and forth as one gets hot it shuts down and the other one kicks in, and for it pulling more than ten amps flying ,i dont think so your might spike it up to 13 amps but the cc 10 will be fine

The MS-116 ESC
Maximum BEC current = 1A
Nominal load = 8A
Peak load = 12A, 1 sec

Twister-X
RPM/V = 1880
Max. Efficiency = 82%
Optimal load = 8-12A
Max. Load = 15A/60s
Recommended power supply = 3xLiPo 680-1500mAh min. 12A

I'm using the MS-116 with the Twister-X myself. It suprises me how little current is pulled to fly the Hornet. Using 1320s I have to stop after 10-12 minutes of flight because my nerves are pretty shot by then, but the heli could probably keep on going a lot longer. Voltage checks on 1320s after 10-12 minute flights on stock 7.2:1 gear ratio were 11.0v.

These 2 specs dun tally, Chaos.:

The MS-116 ESC
Maximum BEC current = 1A
Nominal load = 8A
Peak load = 12A, 1 sec

Twister-X
RPM/V = 1880
Max. Efficiency = 82%
Optimal load = 8-12A
Max. Load = 15A/60s
Recommended power supply = 3xLiPo 680-1500mAh min. 12A

I used to think the MS-116 was a 12A peak load esc based on comparison with the JEti ones... there's one esc that looks 90% the same and has the same specs....

If the MS-116 gives so much more punch than a P-10, It's peak load should already be higher than a pheonix 10's. Unless MS did rebadge another esc....

Did anyone get to the bottom of this one?
Has anyone taken the MS-116 to the point of destruction?
