Does anyone have some pics that shows where their whip antenna is mounted on the Evo 90?

I'm looking for some examples as I just can't seem to figure out a good spot to mount this thing as the holes are directly in the bottom of the antenna which would make the thing stand straight up and with the canopy and the rule of keeping it away from servos, I have no clue.

Thanks,
J

I just make a L bracket and bolt it to the frame.

If your gear has holes for the antenna wire, you can bolt it to one of the holes. I did that on my Evo 50, which you can see in this pic.

I used an old X-Cell top canopy mount to mount mine on the X-Spec. It's essentially just an L bracket that I bolted to the side of the frame across from the throttle servo right through the existing holes. I spaced it out a bit using wheel collars. Made for a nice clean install. Pic is a little blurry, but you can see it right under the front body mount.

Looks good guys! FlyFalcons, you're idea is great as well... I'm not sure though that I have enough antenna to run it down to the skids.. I'll take a look at that tonight.

eurylokhos, have you had any glitches running the antenna near the battery pack? I had this problem with my standard antenna and had to put fuel tubing over it which resolved the issue. Maybe the stock revolution has enough shielding.

Thanks,
J

Well, I have yet to fly that Freya, I finished getting it together yesterday night, but in my Raptor I ran it rubberbanded under the battery tray with no problems, and on my Evo, it also goes right under. We'll see, I don't anticipate a problem, but I always do a good range check. I will put some fuel tubing over the plain white wire going to the Rev, just to protect it.

Hi JitsuGuy,
Here's how I did mine.

The lot I got is not a lot, but I thank God a lot for the lot I got!
