OK, so Had a hot start this last weekend, and the clutch liner came off and some of the plastic on the clutch bell was melted. Is this re-usable or do I need to order another one? I have a couple pics here, I'm not entirely sure you'll be able to see the difference, the camera isn't great. Can I get a new liner for this and go with that?

Thanks
Josh

hi
It is reusable.. just take the old material off and use 30 minute epoxy and glue a new liner in.

Worked for me.

Crash-Prone and overcoming it!!!

Hot start is when you start the engine at wide open throttle and stand there holding on for dear life like an idiot and watch it all melt

Don't forget the foul, pungent odor of the liner burning.

Well its not quite as dramatic as Doug makes out with a 30 size, lol. But its still enough to get some meltage if you can't reverse the situation right away. In my case it was not because the stick was in the wrong place, it was because the transmitter was on teh wrong model. Anyhow, when I looked down and saw the stick correct, I went for a fuel line, so it ran long enough to melt a bit. Not particularly hard to hold onto though. It would have been a shock if I wasn't holding the rotor head during the start.

OK, so I just re-assembled this thing after putting a clutch liner in there, and the clutch is very tight, since I know the bell is actually wider that it was before,(some pastic melted) does this mean that I need a whole new clutch shoe? Did the mettle bend out permanantly from the motor taching out? Lemme know please.

thanks
Josh
