first the math! 128 fluid ounces in 1 us gallon....divide this by 14 oz (or your tank size) this equals around 9 flights per gallon...

Now divide the cost of your fuel per gallon bye the amount of flights you get.

In my example I'm paying 24 us dollars for 30% nitro (paid 10us for the last 2 cases they were on sale)

This means I'm paying 2.6 dollars per flight

MORAL OF THIS STORY IF I QUIT SMOKING I CAN FLY FOR FREEEEEEEEE

or at least close to it lol

If your flying a lot, you might want to get together with some buddies and go in on buying 20-30 cases direct. 24.00 does seem a little high? Might save five six bucks a gal.

Which is worse, ignorance or apathy? I don't know and I don't care!

Thats OK, in the UK we pay the equivalent of $26/gallon for 15%. It's just a matter of time before electrics is cheaper. Time for another fag.

At the LHS Coolpower 30% is $42.00CAD a gallon. But in the spring our club does a bulk buy and we get it much cheaper.

Just remind us how much a decent set of LiPols would be for something like an Ion?

I'm getting about 6.5 flights out of a gallon with my 90's, but I live 20 miles from Wildcat Fuels.

$16.50 per gallon for CY 30% divided by 6.5? That's $2.53 per flight.

Man I wish I had never started thinking about it!!!! and I hope my wife never figures this out????

Oh Well, one has to pay to play.

Well , Cyberheli are quoting $500 or less for the Webra Gasser .
The way I worked it out , a gallon of two stroke petrol/oil mix at 20:1 (suggested by Webra) will contain 2.75 X the calorific value of a gallon of 10% glow fuel(20% oil), (increased nitro means a lower carlorific value).

I can buy the petrol two stroke mix for a third of the price of 10% glow fuel so , assumming the petrol and glow engine have the same efficiency (I suspect the petrol will be better due to better control over ignition) that means my fuel costs will be cut by over 85% . So the Webra Gasser would soon pay for itself .

At the end of the day , it gets dark .

Guy's right. Here in the UK prices are crazy. I pay around £20 for a US gallon of 30%, with the current exchange rate that is: $34.84.
Yes yes, the exchange rate never works like that in the real world and US prices for US people are different to UK prices with UK people! But you get the idea of our stupid UK economy when it comes to fuel

(To fill up my little 1.2 litre car costs £37)
