I am setting up 3107's all the way around. There doesn't seem to be much clearence between the windshield and the aileron servo horn to get enough pitch. I am starting out with -2 to +9 or 10 on the top. I am also going with the 2100mah battery. I wrapped up the speed controller and placed it under the gyro (bottom of frame)and now when I install the battery under the front of the frame the canopy doesn't go all the way back. What size battery are most of you using?

Is your aileron servo mounted on the top side of the tray or under? Be sure it does not touch that canopy at all. Dont ask me how I know .

I am using the yellow trex xl canopy (bigger) and have the eccpm upgrade. I am using 2100 pro lites.

Going to try mounting it underneath. Where do you mount your speed control? I have the phoenix 35.

The t-rex canopy gives you more room for bigger batteries but only an eccpm upgrade will solve the servo rubbing issue.

Thanks for the photo's Adryan. I tried to place the speed control where you did but I did not like the way I had it fastened on so I mounted it up front wher the battery goes. Will it interfear with anything in that spot. I have it velcro wrapped and a zip tie holding it on.

The ESC was foam taped and zip tied towards the motor connectors. It's a bit light and holds steady enough... gets cooled off too. I did want to put it in the batt tray underneath, but I wouldn't be able to put the canopy on if I did. I'm still trying to get a 21-2200 mah lipo tomorow and see if it will fit in the tray and if I can hold proper center of gravity from that location. If not I'll put the battery underneath and I guess the ESC can go in the tray. Try to put your electronics together along with other heli components. Only secure them after you do a dry fitting. I did that before anything was properly mounted, from the gyro, reciever, batt and esc.

My speed control is mounted on the under side of my heli using stickyback velcroe (hook and loop). Works great in that spot for me.

I wanted to mount it there too... but I was a bit iffy on the ESC's effects on the Rx and gyro. Have you had any problems...

I had to place a ferrit ring between the esc (cc-35) and receiver(Futaba micro PCM). That solved some issues that I was having in the beginning. I had to move my gyro above the boom due to interferance from my motor (mega 16/15/3). I now have no issues.

aileron servo
take the servo tray off the beam - turn it the other way up and mount the servo underneath - that gives canopy clearance.

I mount my ESC' across the front undercarriage struts - this keeps the wires short which helps with intereference ramifications.

I have the 2100mah battery. Mine does not fit in the battery tray. It is too long.
