Any one got pictures of a Caliber 30 canopy trimmed at the bottom so as to remove the "chin" ? I am thinking of doing this to try and improve it's appearance.

That won't be much of an improvement...like putting a tux on a pig.

A different canopy is the answer to better looks. Either the very expensive Caliber 30 FT canopy, or the Funkey canopy from Century:

will improve the looks a bunch.

It is very simple just fallow the body line around and that's it.

Here are a few more pics.

What about a Caliber 5 canopy? Anyone tried to see if it can be made to fit the Caliber 30?

I cut mine like Clayman. It isn't the best but you get used to it. I'd love to get the fiberglass canopy, which looks great, but can't justify the cost.

Here's a nice shot of a trimmed canopy in action.
The Caliber 5 canopy MIGHT work.
I say this because with a little work, I think the Caliber 30 canopy will work on the Caliber 5.
I'll have to try it and see.

You can look at my trimmed canopy in my gallery. Basically the same as all the other ones. Just a custom paint job I did on it. I just ordered a Rappy canopy for my bird from RCHW. Will post pics when I get it in, mounted and painted. I'm also currently working on a mold for a fiberglass canopy. When its done I will definately post pics, if it turns out good. LOL

Chris,
That's the Toki pipe that Robo2971 gave me. Really puts some power into the 32.

Thanks for the compliment on the video editing. If you need some done let me know. It's another hobby of mine that gets me in trouble with my wife. Anything to piss her off. Makes for good you know what. LOL.

I'm also currently working on a mold for a fiberglass canopy...
I just posted a couple of pics of the mold in progress. I haven't had a chance to work on it much lately due to a busy family schedule. But things are slowing down finally so I should have it done in the next couple of weeks or so. I know it doesn't look like much right now, but I won't rest till it looks good. Give me some ideas if you want.
