I am wondering how this thing does with forward flight. I know it wont tear up the sky but will it do circuits ok?

Hivoltage,
My XRB will do circuits, biased a bit to the better for left-hand / counterclockwise segments. Fun!

I have gotten my xrb going pretty damn fast in left hand circuts....but its not as fast going to the right... I have done a loop/flip with it too but I was very high up and lost a LOT of altitude but it worked.

I perform precision manuevers called crashes.

It will NOT do continuous FF. Except if you're doing slow FF.

Otherwise, it will pitch up every 18 foot or so, then go on for another FF segment.

In fact, I've had more luck with Backward flying... I guess it was simply going slower backward due to TX config of XRB physical spec...

Nice heli to fly and have a lot of fun though. I miss it sometime now I've sold it.

Mine will do 60 ft continuous circles to the left at, at least 20 mph. Get up about 15 ft, full forward stick, and a bit left, and full throttle at the same time. Once it gets moving pretty good, back off on the forward a bit as it will be slowly heading for the ground and roll up in a ball A real hoot.

My little E-sky lama 2 will forward fly slowly.....very slowly. I can speed it up somebut the stability kinda goes away, and if you try to turn it while going fast, it has a tendency to just go to the ground sideways. It's a fun little heli for 145.00 ready to fly.

How about the loop/flip that I_like_to_crash did. How did you pull that off?

The counter rotating system shows a little bit different characteristics than my old fixed pitch nitro heli that I had. I would much rather try a loop with the old one than with the lama2. If I had 2 or 3 of them, I might would try it. I fly mine mainly inside, it doesn't like the wind at all.

I fly mine inside and out. I can't imagine it doing a loop! But I would love to know how...

I just flew left to build up speed and then straightend out going fairly fast, pulled back fast but smooth so the blades didnt strike eachother and let off the throttle quite a bit. and it started to flip and as it came down on the other side of the loop/flip..I applied power gradually, it doesn't look smooth at all but it works and you loose ALOT of altitude, when I get a camera I'll get a video of it. Oh yeah, forgot to mention, I really don't know if this had much to do with it but I trimmed some weight off of the lightweight flybar weights with an xacto knife and it responds a little bet better, but a little bit less stable, which you will notice more if u fly indoors.
