Hi

I got a t-rex 450xl wich i have put all the carbon and bling-bling on to. Its now pretty much a SE, but i still got the old engine and ESC.

What shuld i get for it??

Have been thinking of getting the Hyperion Y-22 Short motor 3600kv and the Hyperion Titan 50A to make shure theres enough power to run my servos and gyro and all.

What do you guys think??
Im planning on learning to fly some wicked 3d so ill be needing alot of punch.

ive got a hyperion y22 3900 on one of my birds with hyperion 30A esc runs with massive ammounts of head speed and little bogging , but i will warn you these motors are power hungry and get quite hot (wasted energy)
my other birds got a AON3500 with a jazz ESC and this gets slightly less head speed again no bogging but runs super cool
also it depends on what cell count your planning on running , im assuming your planning on a 3s setup with a motor of such high KV rating ?
hope this helps

If you need to get high , go and fly !

Yes, got 3s packs already and hope i got to use them some more.
So the hyperion runs hot eh? Ive also read some place that they are somewhat heavy compared to other motors of the same size.

How about the align 430 or what its name is, the one in the se kit, and the 35A esc also from the kit??

Any good?

Get a jazz with a nue motor. 3000+ head speed no problem, runs very cool too. The only downside is the price: $113 for the motor I believe, and $170 for the jazz.

You know you have to many heli's only when your wallet is empty.

The align 430lf power by thunder power 2100 is great. Loads of power. It runs very cool. The upside less than $50.00

If it is electric, then you would be wanting a motor, not a engine!

Thanks guys, and yes i think ill get myself a motor instead of the engine Here in norway theres only one word for both, so have my poor english excused please.

Anyway

Thiks the combo looks great, and with aa 6V bec aswell it wold really speed up my servos. Ill probably get one, liked the price aswell...

As for the other tip i thik thats alittle bit stiff for me, and as said earlier by someone, if jk is happy with it why woldent i be . Bet hes alittle better at preserving, and using the power in the rotor though, not overtorcing it using lots of cyclick and collective at the sime time.

Thanks again guys

Thanks Bob!

Its the 430L with the silver covers i want right? Wont need any mods to hold up?

Is the esc in the align combo ok? Got the impression its with a 6V bec, and id like that for my servos. Guess there wont be any trouble with it right? Got HS-65s on the swash and 401 with HS 56 on the tail. Futaba 8ch pcm reciever. Dont remember the model name.

Also wondering how much the 6v bec will set me back in flying time compared to 4,8? As said i use 3s lipos 1800mah 20c (Flightpower EVO20)
