Ok I have gotten my trex SE and finally finished building the thing and I have some wierd problem. I have followed procedure for setting up the gyro in normal mode first and getting it mechanically setup as best as possible and then running it AVCS mode. Ok I got it setup as best as it could on normal mode and then When I switched to AVCS mode the tail drifted to the left. This is what I dont understand I landed unplugged the battery and then plugged it in again and then take off and there is no more drift.

Ok so I fly and then I get a new pack. I plug it in and then take off and then the helis drifts exactly like it was doing before. I landing unplugged and replugged that battery and then take off. The heli doesnt drift. Whats going on

I dont want to do this every time I want to fly.

Flick the gain switch 3 times in rapid succession and see if that stops the drift. When you boot the gyro up does the AVCS light stay lit or does it flash?

There may be a mix active that you aren't aware of.

I have the EXACT same problem with my Trex but I have been too lazy to fix it.

The light on the gyro does not bling at all when I turn it on. What do you mean by the gain switch? Do you mean a switch on the gyro. Btw I have a 9C. Theres no revolution mix on.

Nope. The heli is left still and I allow it to set. Also what do you mean about "(you will see the tail servo lock too). If you do, it will give you the drift your talking about...."

The tail moves to a certain position after it initializes, but it does this on all of my helis.

Cabbageman,

If you don't have a gain switch programmed on that 9C how do you change from rate mode to AVCS?
