Anybody know how manufacturers determine RPM/V ( KV ) for their motors? There's got to be a prescribed procedure. Tom

Yes, put the motor on a colunm drill and note belt ratio. Spin the motor and note the voltage (AC V) you get between any two wire. Manufacturer must use steady speed device and a scope I imagine.
