I use the JR6102 and like the fact that it has 5 adjustable points in the pitch and throttle curves. I'm not sure if the dx6 has five or three?

JR6102 definetly, much easer to use than the spectrum.

5 point pitch and throttle curves are better, but so is glitch free flying. You will have to choose. The DX6 has 3 point pitch and throttle curves. I use a Futaba 9CHP on my nitro helis, but like the DX6 for my electrics. If you set it up good mechanically you will only need a 3 point pitch curve if everything is linear.

Range
I don't know how good the range is on a 2.4GHz system. I do know that there are alot of other electronic items that use 2.4GHz like cordless phones and wireless camera systems. I would be worried to fly in a park or parking lot next to houses or buisnesses. I would check and see if there could be a problem there. I've been using the JR 6102 PCM system on both nitro and electric heli's and I know that it has a killer range with no glitching at all. The dx6 has three point pitch and throttle curves. The 6102 has five!

Range is over 3000 ft on a ground to ground check with the DX6. I use mine in my office and I have a 2.4 ghz phone and wireless router, no interference...ever!

Just out of curiousity, what is the number of models the DX6 can store?

Or you could do what these guys have done and put the Spektrum DX6 module into a JR6102. That way you get the best of both worlds.

Brent.
