Went to a 4s today and SAB carbons.

At first, was VASTLY disappointed. I lowered my throttle curves cause I didn't want the notorious 3000 rpm headspeed just yet. Unfortunately, it didn't even fly in this configuration. So I said "f*ck it, put that b*tch to the max". I was at full throttle and the thing barely climbed. Couldn't understand why the yellow blades were flying so well. Anywho, I climb up to good height and do a forward flip. MAN WITH THE BEC SUPPLYING 6V response was QUICK and the high headspeed really flipped it over. Thinking that I needed full throttle/collective to stay upright, I thought I needed the same inverted, so I punched full negative when I was inverted. HOLY SH*T THIS THING CLIMBED LIKE 20 FEET EVEN BEFORE THE FLIP WAS COMPLETED WITH NO SIGNS OF BOGGING! At this point, it became extremely clear that I didn't have enough positive pitch. So I landed, did a few tricks on the tx, got more collective and was back up (will fix mechanically later ). So I take it up again and punch FULL THROTTLE! NOW WE'RE TALKING ! THE LITTLE BUGGER LEPT INTO THE AIR AS IF IT WAS TRYING TO MEET GOD! I finally have the vertical performance like those guys in the videos you see here all the time! Took it up, hit the idle up switch and did some stationary rolls! 1, 2, (hmmm, let's keep going) 3, 4, 5, 6 CONSECUTIVE STATIONARY ROLLS AND WITH NO SIGNS OF BOGGING (except the last one because the battery was getting low). "H*LL F*CKING YEAH" is what I'm thinking. Brought it back in for a landing and was VERY SATISFIED! This was all for a demonstration and the kids who were there loved it. We had planes flying as well doing low level hovering. Was a beautiful day. Oh and I did my lowest flip ever. Being more confident in the power of the machine, I did a flip at about 12-15 feet up. This is an accomplishment for me, cause I've always dreamed of doing low level stuff like the pros.

After taking the heli home, unfortunately, I discovered the battery voltage to be 12.4v ! So I was obviously pushing the battery lower than the 12v limit. I'm going to time out a hover and use the timer on my tx for 60% of the hovering time so I don't fry my precious lipo. Also, the gyro/tail needs to be readjusted, doesn't hold as well when doing continuous rolls and flips. All in all, it was a good day and I'm happy with my new 4s setup and the SAB blades are just SWEET! Oh and all glitches are gone now, FINALLY!

BTW... I still want more power hehehe but don't need it! LOL I actually thought I couldn't handle a 3000rpm headspeed, looks like I handled it JUST FINE!

Motor was cool to the touch, didn't get warm at all but was actually cool/cold (but also remember, it's below 30 degrees F right now) Battery was warmer than the surroundings but only by like 10-20 degrees or so. I'm running a CC35 with potencia 2.0 BEC.

I have three of these motor running them 3s or 4s i have not had the temp over 25c yet and i have pulled over 400 watts with a 11t

QuantumPSI put the 10t on you will still get 3000 rpm and the performance is outstanding you don't need the 11t only wasting energy on burning the li-po up on the 10t the motor will pull the bird outa site in seconds

If that motor has a 3mm shaft the ECO 10 tooth should fit. We use them on the Lehner 1020 17.

Quantum, you mentioned no more glitches, can you describe some of the steps taken to go glotch free. I am in glitch mode on 4c right now.I am moving things around, glitches started in the throttle and cyclic, now after moving speed control forward, just down to tail kicking upon advancing throttle. ..

Glad to hear your running the same motor I am, I am on a 3s setup now but with the 2 amp potencia Medusa coming on Monday, will look forward to a 4S setup in the future.

I did several things to solve the glitching. First thing I did was ground the frame (not to the battery though), just made sure there was a connection to all the parts of the frame. That didn't solve all the glitches but it helped out alot. The next thing I did was when I went to the 4s setup. I installed a ferrite ring and a BEC. Once I did that, all glitching went away. I have the CC35 and bec up front, with the BEC on top of the CC35, the electron 6 in the back and connected gear and bec to channel 5 using a y connector and have the ferrite ring as clost to the receiver as possible on te throttle connection. Hope this helps out.
